It's not. Barda is off in her own adventure in the whole Earth 2 thingy.

You know they say that when pain gets to intense you stop feeling it. Guess it's the same for character pride pain.

Still, I think Thor fans deserve some sort of recompense for having our character dragged through the mud then shat on. While given a forced gender and identity change. If this unworthy Thor could beat Hulk within an inch of his life, I'd at least be momentarily sated.

lOl Odin is funny

Does Freya play a big part in the Thor's comic?

Love the smug look on her face though.

This book....just wow.

Odin not being able to lift Mjolnir is honestly one of the dumbest moments in recent history. It makes absolutely no sense, he enchanted the hammer and has absolute control over it as shown as recently as Fear Itself.

I know he's depressed and doesn't have Mjolnir but why is he suddenly useless and so much weaker? How are any Frost Giants able to restrain him? How is Malekith able to just cut his arm off?

This doesn't even make any sense in the context of Jason's own run, heck Thor's already beat up Malekith without Mjolnir under his pen. I know that his Thor has shown that his dials go from 1 to 11 depending on his mentality but even Young Thor was far more effective.

And we lost the God of Thunder series for this? Thor beaten and humiliated just to introduce a new character?

People wonder why so many long time fans were pissed about this change. It has nothing to do with the new God of Thunder being female. Conan could have picked up the hammer and all the complaints would remain.

One of the best runs on the character is canceled and he gets sidelined in his own book. He loses his hammer because of a whisper (Which still makes no sense as Mjolnir does not define worthiness on what you think about yourself). Now he's apparently depressed and useless and loses his arm. Heck, this new character even steals his name.....

Man, I want to be optimistic but anyone who thinks long time fans don't have a reason to be really upset about this need to imagine such changes applying to their favorite. I hope the sales on this tank and it crashes and burns. I'm not against new things and changes, but I am against poorly planned plots because of PC crap.

Oh yea, let's not forget them introducing Angela, who is apparently the rightful heir to the throne (Which completely demeans one of the largest parts of Thor's origins) and beats him up. I've always wanted women to have a bigger role in large, more mainstream titles...until now.

This HAS to break the Thor Corps!

Marvel has completed what The House of El started!

It is a bit of a shame, not just because the character has had some terrible moments, but because of the whole treatment. Like, my boy Spidey has had some AWFUL moments and showings, oftentimes deliberately so (it's more baked into his character than some others). But there's an underlying dignity even in the lowest moments. But Thor's being shat upon from several directions, with little to redeem him.

I mean, hell, Abhi was crying foul a page or two ago.

Sounds about right. What adds a little more touch of disappointment for me too is, an unworthy Thor is not a bad idea. It could be an amazing redemption style arc where Thor once again transcends himself to be truly worthy of Mjolnir. I don't know what the **** this is supposed to do. How could this possibly add to the character?

Spiderman has a pretty bad time too when Doc essentially beat him out of his body and "wiped" him, but in the end it was all too obvious that Pete was still #1.

That was shocking lol. It shows how bad this is.

I can feel you feeding off this. Growing in power.

I was Sooooooo pissed when it happened. I still get a slimy feeling thinking about it. But they handled the return wonderfully; and yeah, it's clear Pete was always the top dog.

They cant bring Thor to new heights without bringing him low first. Aarons always been a hack, but I dont mind them taking Thor through low and dark places.

Interesting. So it seems like he's not a total joke.

PS, I find it amusing that Star Lord got a piece of Celestial tech and wtfpwned Thanos worse than either Tyrant or Odin did and all we are talking about is Thor. LOL.

Haha, I did notice Thanos but it didn't seem as important lol.

Thanos under Bendis is about as impressive as Rhino though.

Because let's be honest it is just Thanos. He is just a medicore Villain who few know compared to an iconic hero like thor and what Marvel did to Thor was just wrong.

The way Spider man is treated by the Avengers is Bullshyt. It seems like his level of respect to the general public and the superhero community took a sharp dip post OMD. Really not fun to see everyone treat him like shit.

This paragraph alone makes me cheer for Marvel to keep giving you up the ass.

I hope Thor gets raped at least once, by a character who is more interesting than him [so there's a lot to choose from].

^Not the dark places you're thinking of 😛

Also, this month literally had more DC ownage than I've seen in a full year.

Also, by the by....It's only been ****ing 3 years since Ulik did 12 months as Thor.
