It would have been cool if Rabum Alal was Ult. Reed Richards. But it seems Hickman is leaving the mystery for a bit while longer.

It is very fun re-reading his run of Fantastic Four though. What seemed like purely innocuous things hold greater relevance considering the crisis of Everything Dies.

Is there anyway he could be the Beyonder?

I literally. Can't. Even. Ugh Marvel you horrible monster.

OMG DID YOU GUYS READ THE NEW AVENGERS YET?

Spoiler:
Namor didn't die as the ultimate universe had an incursion at the same time, and the Cabal jumped there. Namor also seems relatively unharmed for someone who just took Black Bolt's scream to his face.

The limitation of the super flare goes beyond Superman passing out though. He loses all his power after using it and is effectively human for 24 hours. That's way too steep a price.

Especially if he is facing someone who can withstand it, which is a lot of people. He will probably need to use it in quick bursts like Supergirl does even though it still drains her.

And it doesn't seem that powerful as well imo.

The power has been shown just once, how do you know that many people can withstand it?

We all know that down the line he'll be able to use with little to no problem.

^****ing awkward DC

Lack of impressive damage and feats. I do not ant to derail this into a mini debate.

Was asking to Carv, you gave your opinion but not stated it as a fact.

He said 'many people can withstand it', how can he possibly know? 😕

I will take this elsewhere.

Agreed. But like I said, for now. It will either be forgotten (T-Vo) or will become overpowered. It's the nature of these things.

You skipped the last page, I'm guessing..?

Yeah, he certainly put some serious thought into every facet of this event.

It's certainly possible. But I think Rabum Alal is something different, something newer. I think the Incursions started recently based on Black Swan's stories and conversations Franklin Richards had with Black Bolt.

This is from Fantastic Four #610, published November 2012:

^ I was(and still am) hoping Rabum Alal is what hatched from the Galactus Seed. I posted my theory months ago here:

Not only would that align perfectly with Hickman's works thus far, but it would be sooo much more entertaining than "Yup... Beyonder did it, herpderp!!!"

Phukk me. That's a great guess.

Another theory is that it's something to do with the universe Doom created in Fantastic Four #611, seeing as that issue is included in the Road to Secret Wars or whatever it's called tpb that Marvel is putting out in April.

I picked up on that myself. But while I think Hickman wouldn't have any ego problems using Fraction's creation as the centerpiece for his own stories, I just don't understand how the Galactus Seed would have gotten released from the World Tree.

The Earth's continuing existence should have secured it from birthing anything. Sure, Exitar might have blown up Earth (and maybe it's release wasn't prevented by the time-travel) but Franklin forewarned Black Bolt way before the Apocalypse Twins were even a thing:

That's from FF #18 from July 2012 in the aftermath of Adult Franklin and Kid Franklin fixing Hala's sun which spontaneously was dying. Which, again foreshadowed the current crisis of all the stars dying now.
