Probably yeah. This version didn't really have any huge displays of power compared to 616, I mean I wouldn't say he was considerably weaker because he didn't have a huge amount of feats to say either way but in terms of actual feats he is weaker by far. It had some interesting lore in it though but of course it was non canon.

You know the only retcon I could think of to this was teenage Jean being mentally fragile and was making Bobby homosexual by messing about with his mind. Whether that is realistic or not it could be something that may happen. But knowing how this is going I doubt it.

If X-Men is ever going to be saved, the incoming writer is going to have to do some MASSIVE retconning just to make things bearable. It's sad just how much damage they've done to what at one point was my favourite comic.

X-Men started going downhill around issue 500, tbh, with no signs of stopping. The sad thing is, it has had good writers on-board, but they can only do so much, especially when there seems to be either too much editorial oversight, or not enough.

I honestly never thought Iceman was gay. If others did, fair enough, it just never occurred to me. And it's not like writers have been afraid of showing gay x-men before.
