Character Ownage

It's a high showing that he lived through that beating... 😛

😂

Someone should totally send that issue to Starlin.

It really doesent matter what company your a fan of. Both companies go out of their way to troll us I think. That was absolutely horrible.

Why do some of you get so excited when a character loses and go out and make new sigs and all that? Are you really that excited about.something like that? Its funny to rub it in peoples faces and all but some of you might actually make a Thanos vs. Human Torch match now.

Hulk is just that much above Thanus and that ass-guardian, what his name was... ah, yes, janithor.

Lol. That last scan is about right. In that same scan with Thor, only a couple pages before Thanos one-shotted her in binary form. Like I said, its funny.

I always assumed that people who worked in comic industry would be for the most part, actual fans, or one would think so. You would also assume they would be talented enough to carry a legitimate dialogue, so my next question is....Who was Bendis good at writing, I mean he's a big name up there so he had to have at one point been a good writer. This comic is horrible, even if your not paying attention to the horrible fight of Thanos w/a gun being wtf dominated by street levellers, the rest was complete trash. "How did you know I was here?" That was bad..Marvel is getting bad, like real bad, they get some movie money and forgot how to do comics.

Marvel has been embarrassingly bad for quite a while now. Same with DC.

Mind you, I used to be an avid fan of the big two--I literally read dozens of titles from them each and every month. Fast-forward to nowadays, and I follow maybe 4 titles between both companies... And 3 of those are Star Wars books, lol.

Tbh, if you're looking for quality reads, Indie titles are the only place you'll get them on a consistent basis in the climate of comics today... It's a shame really. srsly

Can't wait for more Bendinos appearances thanduros

To be fair, this was before Carol's newest SJW power up (breast reduction surgery).

Remember when she looked like a chick? Good times

Ultimate Spider Man and several of his ultimate works
Majority of his Daredevil work
Decent work on Moon Knight
Jessica Jones Alias
An okay portion of Heroes for Hire
New Avengers was decent as long as they were self-contained
Few okay Iron Man issues
Many seem to love his non-Marvel work

He's bad at writing characters created by others, while excellent while writing those he created or gritty characters. Similarly, the more input he has in it the better, thus his alternate universe stories are generally better than 616 ones.

Also, he is better at writing a single character and supporting characters than several at once. Apparently the more main characters present in a book the less work he puts and thus his crossovers suck balls. He's bad at quick build-up, the ones that suit his style is infinitely long build-up but that won't help much in crossovers.

He also lets his bias with and against particular characters screw/cloud over stories to either push or crush them. Scarlet Witch suffered from that attitude while Cage and Rand benefited from it.

He also has bad habit of trying to add cheap shock value to everything and making retcons and relationships come out of nowhere. But the sad part is most of those things with some build-up would have be awesome, but the way he shoehorns them in ruins the whole book.

So basically, he's good in ideas and bad in execution. Atleast that's my opinion. Anyone else would like to chime in?

So Ben is able to match Surfer in combat for several pages and was even crushing him in a bearhug?

That showing is pretty bad though. I'm scared of the Hulk vs Asgard showing that is coming up. Its either going to be a high showing for him or a showing where Jane is cracking his skull open with Mjlonir.

I'm sure Thor will get respect but not at the complete expense of a character Greg Pak himself created, combined with the character he wanked like no other AND it being in his own book lol.

He's been dying to give Cho Hulk a big showing with this "hiding your true power" vibe so it will likely come to a head when Hulk takes on Asgard.

Lol people are still Thanos only Starlin wrote Thanos highly, he was wrote that exact was by Giffen, Abnett/Lanning, Marz, David and Hickman. Only Bendis has ever not wrote him highly. That's is a fact that can't be argued

The irony of posters saying Thanos gets wanked is funny as it Superman who's been wanked for his entire history. with every character he comes up against job to him regardless of their power.

It's not just that Starlin was wanking Thanos constantly (and he most certainly was), it was also the fact that he consistently wrote all the surrounding characters except Warlock as completely worthless buffoons who looked bad to make Thanos look good. From heroes to cosmics, everybody else was written to look foolish, petty, childish, ineffectual etc.

As much as these stories are crap, I can see why so many here enjoyed this incident so much and are laughing so hard at Thanos' misfortune. As someone already posted, Starlin had it coming - he's been doing it to other people's characters for decades and now somebody is doing it to his pet character. What goes around comes around.

As for the ownage itself, well this was worse than the last severe beating Thanos got from the Avengers. The only person on this team who should be much of a threat is Blue Marvel. Hell, I actually felt pity for the poor slob, which surprised me.
