If He-Man was so far above Lion-O as you seem to be claiming, he wouldn't need to use tactics to beat him. He would be able to fight like Hulk and win. You are far overstating the physical disparity. Lion-O deserves credit.
I'm not saying that the physical disparity between them is like the difference of wolverine and the hulk, if anything, it's more like the difference between the thing and the hulk. One is definitely strong and on some of his better days he's a serious contender, but we all know who's gonna come out looking superior not often than not (hence why the thing (or lion-o in this case) has to think smart and utilize a plan).
