Post-Flashpoint Universe is, theoretically, the same as the Post-Crisis Universe, but with 10 years stolen from it. So the characters should literally be the same ones as before the event, only their histories tampered with. Which begged the question, why are there two Supermen? What is the connection between them?

It's been highly hinted for a while that they're the same character, but it hasn't been revealed yet how that is possible. A very serious possibility is that they're somewhat Superman Red/Blue [if you remember the story from the late 90s] i.e. the same being(s) somehow split into two halves, by somebody [Manhattan? Mxy?] or some event [Morrison's first AC arc? Some yet to take place event?]. OR that Superdad is actually New 52 Superman grown up, and we haven't gotten to that point in time yet where it's revealed.

Either way, in the latest Superwoman [the scan I posted], New 52 Lois directly says that Jon is her son - which can't be true, unless she's Post-Crisis Lois. You can see Lana realizing this as she says it. You see New 52 Superman saying that he needs Lana to give them the Red energy [Red Superman!] to become whole [i.e. merge with Blue Superman a.k.a. post-Crisis Superman], so that the Universe stabilizes [i.e. there's one Superman].

Then you have this cover..

And it becomes quite clear.

Not only would that be the most tidy/efficient way to preform a soft-retcon, but it would also be the easiest 'twist' to sell to fans. Imo.

I was thinking of the same thing. It explains how he's so uber in the tech department.

But if it isn't Ozymandias, I wonder how he'll fit in this whole event.

I don't see Johns using Alex as the 'big bad' in two(or 3 if you count his child's antics in Darkseid War) consecutive events.

I could definitely see Oz being revealed as *a* Luthor... Just doubt he's *that* Luthor. /shrug

I feel like there is going to be some Pre-crisis tie in to bring this full circle.

I'm hoping everything is made canon for Superman, but I'd be glad even if just Post Crisis/New 52 is.
