Gladiator and kid Gladiator laid them out after they had the holy hell beat out of them, and summoned the Phoenix. It's still bullshit though. Unless the fight took a lot more out of them than I thought, as Kid Gladiator is pretty weak.

So much shit going on in one book, jeez, kinda jumbled but entertaining none the less.

Why did a hostess Destroyer try blasting the Phoenix Force instead of trying to absorb it? Also, What is up with Cul? He's potentially more powerful than everyone that appeared in the issue put together times two but no explanation has been given about his addiction to fear or power. The God of Fear is comic relief.....

Gud showing, but yeah they were pretty much bloodied and beaten down beforehand. Kid gladz is a meta at best.
Cul hasn't been shown to be weak, but hasn't been shown to be his former self.
Was entertaining though. More, more, more.

So Gladiator just one shot one of the Shiar Gods. When are Marvel actually going to give him a steady story and not treat him like shit. Because this is the Gladiator I like. Well and Kid Gladiator one shot the other too. [/B]

Where is rage at?

The First Firmament:

A few things to note...
a.) Aside from the First Firmament itself, the Celestials predate ALL.
b.) The war between Celestials is what shattered the First Firmament, created the first multiverse, and started the domino-effect that has spawned every multiverse since.
c.) The First Firmament is actually weaker than Eternity.

Exactly... Though I would imagine this context will be ignored by the Gladitard(s) here. 👆

I would love to hype up Kid Gladiator, especially since Aaron wrote this:

I like the Ultimates, and the attempt at pulling some of Marvels creation stories and various showings from different Aspects into a single line is something I look forward to seeing them handle in the longer run.

Question. After all the beating the gods went through, Thor was the last to hit them as shown here...

Why wasn't the God koed during this scene. Only one of them were hit. Why?

It was not even the same God Jane hit with Mjlonir and Gladiator koed him with a single hit.

I wonder what you would've said if Superman did it. I can only imagine.

Fair question.
Like I said, it was a good feat... No denying it. They did seem powerful throughout the storyline.

How much exactly of the "one shot" are u atributing to Gladiator and Kid Glad? That's what it really comes down to. The fact of the matter is they just got done getting their asses beat by a group that included Thor, Cul, and the Destroyer. They were literally so bloodied and beaten that they could not defend themselves from death. Had Thor not stayed the group's hand, that would have been their fate. For all intents and purposes they were basically spent.
To add to that they were taken out by the proverbial sucker shot. You and I both know how many "powerful" characters have been laid low by one of comics' goliath killers.

And you really don't think Kid Gladz is able to one-shot this level a being considering how they were portrayed throughout the story do u?

It's somewhat of an interesting take on cosmology, because the First Firmament created the original black&white Celestials, who then created the multi-colored Celestials we are all familiar with, to be their slaves. An eventual war between these two factions of Celestials is what shattered the original blank void of creation(which was personified/embodied by the First Firmament) into the first multiverse.

This concept takes a dump on quite a bit of Marvel's previously established continuity, but it sorta/kinda aligns with the creation-story given in Astonishing X-Men #61:

...So I guess it's not completely without grounds. srug

I would have mentioned all of the associated context like I always do, of course... Especially when said context is paramount to the feat itself. 😉

A more pressing question, though, is why, when I mentioned 'Gladitards', did you instantly go on the defensive? Something else on your mind, carvster? 🙂

This made me lol:

The GLA and Alpha Flight get absolutely NO respect -- even within their own f*cking company. 😂

It honestly doesn't matter how much of anything I am giving to them. The point is, Jane hit one of them with Mjlonir after the beating and it did nothing. Crazy thing is, she jumped off a cliff and did a double hand Mjlonir slam in the head of her and she got up right afterwards whereas Glads was right beside him and koed him with a single hit to the face.

You all finally see Gladiator fight back and when we see the results, you want to downplay it. This showing is clear and cut.

Even their more popular characters aren't safe 😬

Diversity at the expense of others.

True that... dark times... at least the cinematic universe is doing well.
