I still suspect that Oz is Alexander Luthor Jr.

I suspect Lex grows hair.

Superman can't read. He just looked at the pictures.

In one Library? Also, I thought it was said 5 minutes has passed?

I do like that twist better than him just being Ozymandias. 👆

Although I also kind of hope it's not Alex, mainly because Johns has already used him enough in his events, imo...

No, the surgery had taken 5 minutes by the time the Dr. said that.

The book reading/text reading was a single moment. And it wasn't just a single library's worth. He said he read every medical text ever written, and that included digital texts too.

Wasn't 5 minutes. Exact time? No clue. Less then 5 minutes basically instanteous. Indeed that's why I said IF. He stated "I just read EVERY medical text EVER published" and if true is far more impressive then supergirls feat

After Superman preformed the surgery, one of the doctors said: "This is incredible! 10 years of medical training in 5 minutes!" This seemed to be in reference to the amount of time it took for Superman to preform the surgery from start-to-finish, though... Not the time it took him to read all medical-related text on the planet.

Either way, the scene is pretty cool. It's not often that we get to see Superman use his f*cking thumb nail in a surgical application, lol. 👆

...But if we're talking memorization feats, this still trumps most:

Sinestro Man! 😱

Maybe Hal vs Orion and Sinestro vs Superman?

If both of them happen, we'll have a pretty good idea of where the GLs stand.

From what I remember, wasn't it Venditti that had Orion kind of roflstomp Hal not too long ago. Galan? I don't have the issues at hand to check the writer.

Tomasi has written Green Lanterns for much of his career, so I doubt he'll make Sinestro look bad.

Now where have I seen that before..? mmm

mhmm

Yeah, Orion owned Hal in Godhead. Impressive, actually. All the New Gods that were featured in the story pretty much owned all the various Lantern Corps.

Yep. The New Gods steamrolled through every spectrum of Lanterns as though they were weak fodder during Godhead... That arc *really* emphasized the superiority New Gods have over beings from the third dimension. Orion, for example, shattered Hal's constructs like cheap tissue paper.

That said, I imagine things will be portrayed in a much different light this time around -- especially with Tomasi taking the reigns. 👆

Tomasi is just on Superman for the Sinestro arc, unfortunately - the New Gods arc will be separate, and written by Venditti so..expect Orion to plow Hal, again, unfortunately. I'd be surprised to have a very different performance.

Hmmm, what is DC's Dark Multiverse?

What I’ll say about Metal is that there’s a lot of dark terminology — Dark Days, Dark Nights: Metal — but the reason is because the event really focuses on the Justice League’s discovery of a whole new branch of DC cosmology called “the Dark Multiverse.” It really came from a fascination that I have with the idea of dark matter, dark energy. My little one, who’s 5, loves Cosmos, the show, and I watch it with him all the time, but he thinks Neil deGrasse Tyson’s name is “Cosmo,” which is really funny. He’s always saying, “Look, Cosmo’s in his spaceship again, Dad!”

Did they explain why the new gods were so unusually OP in that story or was that just the new52 portrayal?

DC needs a consistent New Gods book, there's so much untapped story potential there.
