So...yeah. Jor-El. [/B][/QUOTE]
I think that Oz, or alternate Luthor or anyone else coming from an alt reality would qualify there too, if he is the smartest man on his world.

I am rather surprised it's not a woman, the smartest woman vs the smartest man of an world, but then again, it's not marvel.

DC will soon get there, too.

I think it's in their contract to mentioned Wonder Woman in everything, and looking at this cover:

...Wonder Woman will be center stage in the event.

Despite the fact that thematically, she has shit to do with the Watchmen Universe, and it should be Batman/Superman/Lex centric.

Lol, no worries.

So I'm sure you know that DC has a few very distinct eras -- w/o getting into the Golden/Silver/Bronze Ages, there is:
*pre-crisis=anything that occurred prior to 1986.
*post-crisis=1986-2011.
*post-Flashpoint=DCnU=2011-current.

In a fairly recent comic, the timeline of post-crisis Superman was fused with the timeline of DCnU Superman -- they are literally one being now, who was essentially unaffected by the events of Flashpoint(same goes with any who are intimately linked to Superman's own timeline, like his rogue gallery and such):

And as I mentioned above: Superman's pre-crisis showings never stopped being canon in post-crisis continuity. In fact, Mxy's hijinks with Superman as far back as the Golden and Silver Ages were recently recounted as well:

http://i.imgur.com/YEvPJ94.jpg
...which further substantiates the fact that ALL of Superman's showings EVER are canon to him now.

The only 'problem' you'll run into is that some people just don't want to choke down such a big pill, as it's got some asinine implications... But it's already an on panel fact, so fukem. ermmhappy

I read that as more Mxy being the one constant, rather than Supes.

Think you are reading this wrong bro. Still love ya though.

Oh, there are still other versions of Superman from alternate universes in the multiverse -- Kal-L, Ultraman, KC Supes, etc. etc. The mainstream version of Superman is the only one whose timelines [before and after the events of Flashpoint] were explicitly amalgamated in such a way... so far as we know.

Yeah, this was what I was getting at. I wasn't prepared to accept that E1/Flashpoint and pre-crisis E2 Superman were the same guy with equivalent feats. I have no issues with E1 and Flashpoint merging, nor with accepting that PC Supes (E2) still has all of his feats to his name.

Thanks for the additional context, though. Is there a sense that Flashpoint will be merged to pre-crisis entirely? Or just with Superman? I'd prefer the former, as Flashpoint represented the point where I really stopped paying attention to DC, and some FP incarnations (JSA for a good example) resembled their pre-crisis counterparts in name only.

why im curious....pacing, I know you dont care for Lois?

I don't mind Lois when she's written well. Hell, I've even liked her at times. It's the kid I don't like. I think he changed the dynamic of it all far too much, and in a negative way too. To me, it's Wally West's kids all over again. That and I think the whole Rebirth thing, as a story, has been a ****ing mess.

Aquaman, it's largely that I think DC has forgotten the lessons Johns was trying to teach. They were supposed to be past all the shitty gimmicky stuff, not to mention that his characterisation has been shockingly bad at times.

Also, both of their costumes are ****ing awful.

I've always thought they should do something like that. Merge everything and show the real superman which for me it was PC earth 1 Superman. That somehow after the first crisis he got split. I would not like the idea of merging also E2 with E1 those ones should stay separated.

I am sure this will make Carver's butt hurt more than usual and it will be glorious to see the fist post after the merger.

As for the whole story being canon as of right now. I am not so sure, there have been plenty of retconed stories from PC mythos into the modern Superman especially on the pages of the JLA, but from his main book there hasn't been that many retcons mentioned like the first fight with the Galactic Golem. But that is my take on it anyway.

The best thing will be to see Carver to roll down under his bed curl and suck down his thumb if this merger happens! 👆 😂

Also it will be great to make a meme of Superman and Thor.

Superman: hey bro, how is it going? Did you know I just got all my history back? Have you got your hammer back?

Thor: ðŸ˜_ðŸ˜_ðŸ˜_

^ You need the greatest panel from AvX, Salsa. You're lucky I'm here to provide it.

Thor:

As they ask the Hulk for help. God AvX was awful.

...Even though Jon is recalling what Superman had told him about his past encounters with Mxy in those scans..? 😕

There's a different scene in the same comic, wherein Mxy talks about being the 'constant' -- but that's not it.

As of now the merger is just centered around Superman and those intimately tied to his timeline -- that's why all of his rogues were also amalgamated in such a way, for example.
