Green Lantern would be a better fit to be honest. But hasn't This Trinity thing pretty much been forever? Or was it pushed semi recently?
Phil is butthurt i see
Did I not agree with you that her books suck ass? Your on a rant i see but fine I will take the bait.
Diana provides balance to the Trinity. You can ***** and gripe and complain but her following is just as strong as and important than any other. There is no other female hero REMOTELY close and all i see is butt hurt from fanboys who wanna gripe about "importance" and reinvention when Supes is poster child of reboot and his importance is CONSTANTLY SHOEHORNED in DC.
And Lantens and Flashes are a dime a dozen you can replace Barry, Hal etc with ANY other GL or Flash and noone would bat an eye. There is only ONE WOnder Woman.
Lol @ Jean having depth. She was only ever intersting when she died. Her, Storm, Emma whoever else u want to compare and contrast with are ensemble characters. The hold ZERO relevance outside team books.

It's hilarious to see you pull the 'woman card' when you have NOTHING for her to stand as her own character, besides her chromosomes. The ONE time they tried to differentiate her from them, she resorted to snapping Max Lord's neck [character development, everybody!] and it's her defining moment in comics. What does that tell you about the character?

Superman's importance is not shoehorned, it's earned. He doesn't need to be attached to a 'Trinity' in order for him to gain relevance in a Universe, like a little sister hanging around with her big brothers. He is his own character. Wonder Woman is the Sentry of the DCU, a character that needs to be told how awesome he is, because she can't show it.

Did you even READ Wally replacing Barry throughout years and years of character development and building up the legacy aspect of the Flash mythos? Are you familiar with Jay Garrick? Would you say that he's interchangeable with Wally?

You have ZERO idea what you're talking about here.

You can't even define her beyond generic shit. You even brought up the fact that she's a woman, as something that it's supposed to matter.
Originally posted by DarkSaint85That's in terms of power, not personality/character traits. But I'd agree with you - if she were presented that way consistently [in fact, that's how I'd like her to be written]. But Zatanna [and/or crossover with magic-related characters] is generally preferred to her.
She's their link to magic, maybe? Certainly more developed than Shazam. They're rooted in science and facts. She's not.

That's what i got from DCU Online game. Superman, metahumans. Batman, tech and gadgets. Wonder Woman, Magic.
Dc should go for a young trinity too. Supergirl (because of the female TV fans), metahumans. Female GL or Cyborg, tech and gadgets. Shazam, magic.

There's even a crossover where the main Trinity [S/B/W], this Trinity [RH/B/A] and a mystic Trinity team-up against an evil Trinity.
Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman must turn to the mystic trinity of Dead Man, Zatanna and John Constantine when Red Hood, Artemis and Bizarro are sacrificed into the depths of the Pandora Pits by Circe and Ra’s al Ghul.
It's a circle jerk of epic proportions.

Because youre butthurt which explains your tangeant.
Diana is inspirational to every female hero. She is noones girlfriend like Canary, noones protege like Bat Girl or Rocket, she has no underlying mental illness like Jean or Ororo, noones little sister like Magik or Jubilee, not somebodies wife like Sue, she not a victim like Harley, or blatant eye candy like Power Girl, she not an expy like Kara or She Hulk, or an dunce like Star, doesnt have daddy issues like Raven..shes her own woman. Without weakness, who can hit as hard and be as tough as any man. I wouldnt expect the likes of you to understand because its beyond your comprehension.
You cant see her relevance because you dont know what she represents. You cant see the pride she instills in female readers by simply being an unflawed woman who despite being every bit as good is constantly downplayed by the boys.
She is every woman without the weaknesses and stereotypes. She doesnt have to be killed or threatened or stuffed in a fridge or thrown off a bridge or raped just for some male hero to break his mental blocks and get off his ass to do what he should have done in the first place or to simply move the plot along. She is a warrior a goddess and exemplifies the same characteristics you just applauded in Storm but to a higher degree.
But yea shes not important because *insert lame ass excuse* ask ANY avid female comic reader why Diana is important and youll get a shit load of responses. You just dont wanna hear it. Just keep on trolling

Well, Emma was better than Jean, sure. I dread to think what Bendis might have done to her.

That feeling, though, when I can see parts of both your arguments that I disagree with, so I can't really take a side. Fun times.

So her character trait is that she has NO complex character traits? That she is not relatable in ANY way, who has NO weakness, NO complex relationships, no nothing? She is inspirational by not expressing anything other than lack of any kind of vulnerability? Jeez, way to sell your character!
Jean and Ororo are complex fully developed characters because they're great DESPITE their weaknesses. Batgirl is great because she has become her own person DESPITE all of the trauma she has encountered, despite living in Batman/Robin's shadow, rising above it as a fully formed character with a KNOWN and indispensable place in the DCU. NOTHING brought her down, not Joker, not her wheelchair, she FOUGHT through it and come out the other way a person that has faced her demons and overcome them.
You're saying that Wonder Woman, 'clay shaped by GODS in a bikini suit' perfection is more inspiring than that?
GTFO, Sin. You don't even know what inspiring means.
