Conversely, Superman alone physically ripped Darkseid from it:

In that same run, it took multiple Supergirls from various alternate dimensions just to free Superman alone. I don't have the scans at hand, but it's from this:

Superman is, as always, a special case.

FIVE different iterations of Supergirl(and/or THREE different Golems) just to duplicate Superman's feat... Not too shabby for a herald-leveler, eh!? 🙂

I'm sorry, but..... weren't those two EXTREMELY inconsistently writter?
You may be right about quality, but damn. Englighten me.
I'm not saying they were trash, just saying they have a REALLY bad red.
You gotta reread em
GRAY. Is a really good origin story for the unitniated. Plus it tugs at those heart strings. It explores the man/monster mythos and the love/hate triangle between ross banner and betty.
Hard knocks is a bit of an origin story but from a different perspective. Its essentially thing talking to himself as he sees himself as a momster. He even cracks banner a few times to force Hulk out.

Is that what it "took" or is that just what did it it? Because they also freed him faster than the 3 golems were freeing Yuga.

Superman is so powerful that he merges with his split half and it merged two entire realities and rewrites memories of everyone connected to him including the likes of Imperiex. Both Mxy and Oz were astonished at it.[links]

I am really just curious what the heck is going on in those scans [I can't post links yet because I'm brand new here, but they are from the finale of Action Comics 976 when Superman's halves were merged]. I mean....How exactly WERE his timelines merged, and what role did 'love' play in it? I ask about love specifically because that seemed to be the main reason the merger was able to occur [according to Oz at least]. 😕
Thanks in advance for the help!

1. It could simply be the longer someone is stuck in the wall, the harder it is to get them out. Yuga Khan was stuck for centuries if not thousands of yrs. DS was stuck for weeks at most a couple of months.
2. Yuga Khan got stuck on the wall b/c he was trying to find out what lay beyond the source wall. DS was pushed there by SM.
3. The Celestial Golem were trying to get YK out using a track beam device. SM Physical pulled him out. Maybe the wall has a way of neutralizing or diminishing use of powers, but doesn't react the same way when brute force approach is.
4. Another possibility since it was SM who pushed DS into the wall, it was naturally easier for him to get him out. In a like manner DS since he was the one who pushed SM into the wall would be easier for him to get him out also.
5. As for SM being stuck a final explanation could simply be none of the 3 SG, PG and the Alt-SG combined were as strong as SM by himself.
