That was a knee to the gut. I can believe T'challa would feel "something" from someone as strong as Spidey, and assume the unprotected hit did most of the damage.
His suit is literally the same as Slade's Ikon suit. It absorbs energy and then he can redirect it. So when you mention there being a difference between powers randomly being forgotten by the characters, and powers and abilities magically disappearing, I find it very funny that this is completely forgotten.
