Personally, as much as I like a powerful Superman, I kind of hope they have him resort to skills in the final showdown
That's one thing I liked about New Krypton and the original Trinity. It showed him using pressure point attacks and other tricks to completely steamroll his opponents.
Imagine if he beat Zod by, say, digging up the heat vision nova attack. That also gives an excuse to keep Superman from cleaning up Ursa and Lor-Zod, and let someone else get some screen time.
Or, maybe he figures out a way to work in an infinite mass punch.
Plenty of ways to make him look impressive without a Dragon Ball style "bigger number".

Besides shrugging off 4 of them in the War of the Supermen event simultaneously trying to restrain his limbs, he was clearly stronger than Non, who was explicitly the physically strongest kryptonian [basically Kingpin].
Superman's power is basically regulated by his holding back. It's why Supergirl was thought to be stronger, when it was just him regulating, while she did not. I see it the same way with Zod, and any kryptonian he encounters, unless he really needs to push.
At this point, there is more than enough evidence to show that suoerman hold back. It’s what allows writers to put keep putting him in situations that you would find in Metropolis. Otherwise, he’d be off saving planets everyday.
Take DS fight for example. He hits Superman and somehow Superman is on his knees. Superman 32 arrives, we find out Superman was holding back from fear of killing DS if the punch he used to break the shield was too much
With that in mind, Zod Jr was clearly beaten by Superman without any issue. He puts him down with little effort.

The way I see it, Zod's kid is probably stronger then Superman was at his age. This version of Zod Sr. is clearly in a class of his own, power wise. And Ursa is no slouch. Stands to reason his kid would inherit that strength.
But Supes makes up the difference with his years of experience. While Zods were sitting in the Phantom Zone, Clark was learning different ways to use his powers, like his "all or nothing" nova strike.
It's like arm wrestling. Strength can be beaten by technique.
Superman is supposedly 2 times stronger. He should be able to stand in one spot without flinching while Zod son punched at him.

Because it is. This Superman is more powerful than ever and still has to prove himself every issue otherwise he is weak?GTFO with the bullshit. The enemies are that powerful, not that Superman needs validation of his power every week.
i see youre taking this to the chest. im not lowbaling here just making an observation. u gotta chill with the dramatization
