Scarlet Witch's powers breaking probabilities helped Quicksilver become....the Flash? I like how he started entering the Speed Force basically. I think that's what the Speed Force comes down to, helping you break limitations and the laws of physics. I'm glad that Pietro was able to go that fast with some help.

I really liked this issue. It highlighted really well how the Avengers are unique from other super teams.

Nothing compared to a cosmic JLA issue though.

Darkseid wasn't even attacking her lol. He swatted her away like nothing. All she did was make him falter but she wasn't hurting him.

Darkseid could have ended this fight easy if he wanted to. Grail even said DS will kill her after he does what he came to do. Possibly hinting that DS may have other plans for her.

Honestly, am I the only one that doesn't find anything remarkable about the Darkseid fight one way or another? I mean, I was always of the opinion that she could do exactly what she just did. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal. Seid wasn't even close to beaten and seemed more focused on his objective than fighting. It's a good showing for WW no doubt, but it's not something I thought she was incapable of before, and she didn't really seem close to actually beating him. If she did actually beat him then I could see people freaking out, but this right now seems like a good showing and that's about it. Not sure what the big deal is.

PS: If Supes did the same thing I'd feel exactly the same way about it. A good showing and nothing more.

But tbh, if the positions were reversed, you'd probably be arguing Darkseid had the edge because he was pushing her into the pillar. Hey Carver, have fun!

My take on it was that......DS wasn't there to fight. He was there to open a portal or whatever.

WW was doing her best to stop him.

And she failed. He was laughing at her, saying it was pathetic and futile, and was mocking her ('last time you took an eye, last time you had your friends etc etc).

Ultimately, he succeeded in his goal (which he makes a point of telling Grail) and she failed.

Stuff like this just is weird. If Darkseid could've ended that fight differently why didn't he? His objective was at risk. This is some mental gymnastics.

You can argue that he wasn't going all out but saying that Wonder Woman wasn't a threat because Grail claimed if she doesn't, her father will kill her is ridiculous. Wonder Woman also claimed that she didn't need the JL to beat Darkseid. Grail jumped Diana while she was taking Darkseid's lunch money, even if it was brief.

I don't think Diana could, or at least should, beat Darkseid (That should be a team effort) but no way did I ever think she was that strong tbh. She took him on with her fists and lasso. She did as well as Superman would imo.

Edit: In all seriousness, this was an inconclusive fight with Darkseid looking a lot less formidable than expected against Wonder Woman imo. It's not a huge deal, but not what I'd prefer. It's just funny seeing the exact same poster(s) who argued Jane was beating up Odin and that makes him less impressive defend this.

That lasso is...or at least, was....the one hit haxx weapon. And it didn't stop him. So it's actually a low showing for her here. Or a high showing for DS, in that it didn't stop him.

Honestly this pissing match between marvel and dc fans is stupid and silly. Both sides keep trying to find an edge in order to show how superior their favorite character is to the other side. It's quite tiresome. Darkseid clearly wasn't going all out and WW did quite well, but did not come close to beating him. That's that. On the other side of the equation, Abhi's constant lowballing of Thor, sorry ODISON, is stupid as f*** as well. Seriously, this thread is a dumpster fire.

I like how Darkseid took her best attacks, got up like nothing happened and said it was just a show like she wanted but somehow it's about as good as Superman does.

Well, do you think Wonder Woman can ruin a good villainous plan? Because I certainly think so.

She used the lasso to set him up for a kick. She didn't try to restrain him and fail ala Damage. I think he could break free don't get me wrong, just saying it's not the same.

That Darkseid showing could have been worse, but not by much.
