Security updates are extreme for a phone and the S4 doesnt get anymore. They just stopped updating the S6.
I work for Verizon Wireless and through our phone program I get to use every major or flagship phone. Especially when I was the operation specialist in my store.
And I do have to say that I no longer care or drool over the new phones. You just to lose interest in them. But I will say that from the Android line the V-Line from LG is among the most underrated.

Dont think anyone said the LG was terrible but it isnt amongst the best out there. The top 3 is the Huawei P20 pro, Samsung Galaxy S9 plus and the iPhone X. Honorable mention - Google Pixel 2 XL, HTC U12, LG G7. People dont even consider LG phones as top notch anymore.

Must be well over five years now, if not more. Chromes peeled off, you can see the wires and rotting metal.. Only thing holding it together is a ballistic case.
I keep wondering if the case will protect me if this thing explodes or catch's fire.
