The JLA.
1) The number of people who have taken on the JLA successfully since the Morrison/Waid/Ellis/Kelly have passed is ridiculous. The JLA run of the late 90's, early 00's? That team was the most efficient and powerful team I've ever read. Now it's just embarrassing. I've read that volume/era like 7 times. Never gets old.
2) Issue number please.
I'm glad I finally noticed it saying "of 6" on the cover today. That's very good news. The bad news is it being a mini format is probably sun amping the sales in addition to the Bendis sales push.
Look forward to Bendis DC events. You'll be chomping at the bits for Zacky Snydes to release his next well starting work that inevitably falls apart.
I just don't get it. How does this count as professional work?
A rough out-line, and the laziest dialogue ever submitted to a decent artist is what Bendis does. I've never written fiction in my life, but any monkey with opposable thumbs can write that dialogue. Everyone here has read enough comics, that they have enough head canon for 5 years of comics, so it's not as if plots will run out.

If Bendis is such a piece of turkey shit (and that dialogue is legitimately cringey and awful), why does he appear to be such a big player in the industry and sell so well? Serious question.
It hasn't hurt that he gets put on books relevant to a movie that came out or is coming out. Now he can coast on his name alone without putting in a quarter of the effort he used to put out. People buy it because it's a main book and now Bendis is a huge hit.
See Liefeld in the 90s.
