Guys, be polite.

Now, I don't have a quote to hand, but you can look right back through the X-Men's history to see how big a role things like bigotry and prejudice play in their past. Also, you have to look at the parallels between Xavier/Magneto and King/Malcolm X.

While they tend to be taken as a more general "oppressed" thing nowadays, or used to parallel LGBTQ, Stan Lee did create the X-Men at the same time the civil rights movement was picking up.

As to why none of the original X-Men were black? He might have simply not been allowed. Stan Lee didn't do all the work himself after all.

But seriously, any writer that tries to create divisions within the X-Men concerning gender or race, really has no ****ing clue what the point of the X-Men even is.

To hear that coming from you must mean that Marvel is really phuckin up. Can we get a second M Day to happen? I really want Marvel to clean house, kill off most of these unlikable characters, get good writers fro the likeable ones, and elevate their game.
Psylocke is a better leader than Jean imo. She does some really questionable crap and can be stupid from time to time, but then again, that's most of the X-Men lineup in a nutshell.

Jean just has more experience, imo. So I'd pick her.

That said, outside of Cyclops, Logan and Storm, most X-Men leaders tend to be kinda crap leaders. Havok is all right I guess.

even if that was his intention when he created the x-men, i never felt it was meant to represent some ethnic group. specially not the african americans with the fact the entire xmen group consisted of white people.

lmao what?

they're a minority group oppressed specifically because of their genetic code making the different.

..The concept of allegory is that difficult for you? Are you familliar at all with anything going on in American history at this point in time..?

but i would like to see his statement...

.. you're speaking on this subject like you know what you're referring to ..but apparently haven't seen.. a single interview that Lee has ever done on the X-men..?

ok.

Havok has already tackled greater threats than Cyke could dream of.

so basically its your own view on things? it contradicts what you said then.

and i will ask again, how is that related to the idea presented in my post?

but the question is simple. has stan lee ever stated it himself, or is it just an interpretation. because anyone can see what ever he likes. i am asking if stan lee stated himself that the x-men and mutants are representing african americans.

Then it occurred to me that instead of them just being heroes that everybody admired, what if I made other people fear and suspect and actually hate them because they were different? I loved that idea; it not only made them different, but it was a good metaphor for what was happening with the civil rights movement in the country at that time.

thank you, thats all i asked. now i just need someone to explain to me, how is it related to what i pointed out about social justice warriors in modern days, ruining comics with their agendas everywhere. agree with me that there is a big difference between what stan lee did, which is using a methaphor for what was going on in that era and leaving thigs for interprentation, and shoving down our throats the same ideas and "values" every time over and over again in a brainwash method.

Wow@ last few pages. Wtf.

god, sometimes I forget how much I hated Jean even back then. Is she always such a c*nt?

How would Jean even know? Telepathy is empathic?

"Boy, I hate him", thinks the head over heels in love girl.

It makes sense, though. Cyclops cheated Jean first with Colleen Wing, then with Jean's clone, then with Emma. While the only time Magik has ever experienced any form of intimacy with the opposite sex has been as a plaything for the likes of Belasco, S'ym and N'astirh.

So now these bitter and selfish women want to ruin it for everyone else as well.

Speaking of Belasco. Belasco's magic touch:

No, but she graduated quickly.

Cyclops didn't sleep with Colleen Wing unless you've seen an issue I haven't (and if you have, please show me). The first time he slept with another woman was after Jean died.

Or did you mean something else by cheated?

I'd prefer Argentina.

me too. i also want them to win but i think france will take it. argentina is very weak in this one. losing 3-0 to croatia? 1-1 with iceland? yeah they beat nigeria 2-1 but lets face it, nigeria is weak. france is not a superstar itself, but i think france will take this version of argentina. problem with argentina is too many wrong choises. for example, the coach doesnt let aguera play. i dont know if the rumors are true that its because he has a beef with messi or not, but not letting him play is one of the biggest mistakes. in the last game, they had to score a goal to make it to the 8/1 finals, so the coach finally let aguera in, in the last 11 minutes and he helped to create the pressure they needed for that last goal. too much politics in the argentinian team. and a place where politics are taking over, you cant have a good sport.
