Character Ownage

Morrison is more of a fantastical ideas guy. If you want ideas and concepts, he's your guy. If you want science and the meanings of words portrayed, not so much.

I think it would have been interesting seeing him in the PC days when nobody understood a ****ing thing besides that something they're writing about existed. Imagine him writing with his current writing ability (and understanding of concepts) with absolutely zero limitations on how things work.

Why is this story such shit?

@KM...

Naah, I dont think they would have Hulk kill him and I think Walter would make a GREAT Rogue. He is a character that is carrying a skyfather inside of him. He could easily make Hulk try to reach for higher levels. Him and Hulk is fighting, Walter is losing and then transforms and massacre Hulk, pounding on him to near death. This would give Hulk someone to fear and reasons to dip into his power to reach new levels (and a reason to use WB again).

You forgot "giant sized avengers".

Sigh, what wouldn't I give for a classic Avengers run like Stern or Busiek.

Tired of seeing Hulk pounding on Thors... ready to see him fight Blue Marvel or Hyperion. Him beating on Thor will get treated as a bad showing for Thor, not a good showing for Hulk.

Pshh….

We don't see Munginaq in comics that often.

And isn't Marvel trying to stay away from Great Beasts now when it comes to Walter?

I still read them, but most of the time there is no point debating them as writers can’t get their stories or chacterizations right.

Yep. This new “feral” turn is something new and not due to Tanaraq or the Great Beasts. Which not sure why they went that route as would fit very well

Ewing: “And finally, there’s an old favorite who’s new to this title – Walter Langkowski, aka the Sasquatch. He’s taking a leave of absence from Alpha Flight to sort out some personal issues, and he needs Bruce Banner to do it. Langkowski and Banner were college friends, and Langkowski ended up duplicating Banner’s experiments and becoming Canada’s own hairy half-a-Hulk – I’ve been fascinated by Langkowski as a kind of healthy version of Banner, an intellectual jock, a big, handsome ex-Quarterback, millionaire, beloved hero of his country and his planet, and gosh-darned nice with it. How did Banner ever get along with this guy? And maybe more importantly – if Langkowski is so healthy and normal, why doesn’t he want to change into Sasquatch any more? And why does Sasquatch suddenly have matted, filthy fur, drool on his muzzle and a vicious gleam in his eye? Alpha Flight fans might remember the Great Beasts – but as I said, we’re not doing old continuity. This is something new…

*d’oh thought you were talking about me but you actually meant Sasquatch.

😂

Yeah 😛

And thanks 👆 I remembered you talking about what Ewing said, that's why I mentioned it to carv.

For the record, Sas did play a Hulk rogue, of sorts, in one cartoon episode from the nineties. Good times, good shows. Now it's all about the cinematic universe, everything else suffers drops in quality, unfortunately.

Infinity Countdown was one of the most boring events I've ever read.

Mother****.

Just a sketch but it doesn't surprise me. Someobody make it stop.

I hope Cap solo's him after he beats down Thor.

@Celey,

I already posted a scan from the writer himself admitting Thor still had the OF inside of him during that showing. Cute scan though.

🙂

It'll never stop.

Worse, that's how it always has been. I mean, Stan's original plan might've been different, but that got quickly discarded.

It's like this in all media.

Leave him alone, Hulk! Fight me! 😂

The only potential good thing that came from it was the Thanos tease at the end.... But given the success of Infinity War, I imagine he'll be wanked to absurd levels...

Faker made Eternia great again, apparently.

I just hope Sasquatch does better than Thor (even when he has the Avengers with him) so I can tease Rage for a good 2 weeks

The Reigning is non-canon, anyway. It has its own designation, ffs. Earth-3515.

If celery uses it, then you can post the scans of Hulk fighting the Avengers, the X-Men, Sentry, Thor, Hercules and others at the same time... it'll "count" just as much as Reigning on battleboards.

YouTube video

This was interesting...

Apparently Cassandra is every bit the telepath she was back in the Morrison days... And apparently 'Femination' one-shot Atlantis?
