👆 The only DC movie that looks like it could be even slightly good is the upcoming Shazam movie. I'm sure that they'll find a way to completely ruin Billy Batson though....

Aquaman looks ten times better than the kid flick Shazam. If you’re three and Big is your favorite movie all time then this film is for you otherwise it looks dreadful.

Can't...Ocean Master control the ocean/water as well? Why didn't..he I don't know, blast her or something through that entire sequence?

I hate current comics.

I thought he lost his hydrokinesis ability? Plus, it's not easy blasting someone when that person's asphyxiating you. This isn't a SJW thing either. She's always been known to have powerful hydrokinesis and she's used it in this way before.

Interesting though, since literally in the same issue, when Jean tries to apply the same trick again, it doesn't work....

First Instance with Jean - Works - https://imgur.com/a/KVV9Vm9
Second Instance with Jean - Doesn't Work - https://imgur.com/a/v6LDbnJ

Same with Angel's cosmic flame actually.

First Instance - Works - https://imgur.com/a/Nkag3M0
Second Instance - Absolutely Ignored by Magneto - https://imgur.com/a/biaohb2

Plus, the whole weak point part sounds quite iffy honestly, Magneto's energy field is not some traditional cliche energy field which can be expected to have those issues, what he uses is just your day to day Magnetic Fields, except much potent variation of course and more concentrated, and as far as we know Magnetic Fields don't have "weak spots" as in they don't encompass certain path, i am rather sure any mag field expert would tell you that, so what was pulled on the comic was just nonsense which has no basis really, his mag fields are not even solid energy fields per se, it's just lines of force acting upon something, and giving the vibe of solidity, but not really being solid

It didn't fail for the second time, Magneto realized that either he or Jean would die in the fight so he simply left.

Magneto was maxed out at power and still got his shields broken. Deal with it.

Since Magneto usually doesn't have any flaws in his shields, the only logical conclusion is that the amping process itself was responsible for the flaws.

Rage, Phil, Abhi and Quan: Continue to bash others or derail the thread (or both), and I'll be asking Bada to hand out bans.

And he won't say no.

Mandrakk is confirmed to return in the Unexpected, written by Orlando.

Orlando confirmed that Mandrakk, one of the main villains from Final Crisis, will be returning. Neon’s enemy is Alden Quench, described as Mandrakk’s harbinger. “Mandrakk is his master and tormenter.” Quench is “similar to the Master from Doctor Who” in that he knows something awful is coming and he is driven mad by that. He is visually based on Johnny Depp from the film Once Upon a Time in Mexico, according to Ryan Sook, artist of the Unexpected.

I am really, really worried about Mandrakk written by anyone other than Morrison, but here's hoping.

Same. Frankly, I'd be concerned with ANY writer aside from Morrison attempting to handle Mandrakk.

I'm also wondering how Mandrakk is alive..? The first iteration was utterly erased when he fell into the Overvoid. The second iteration was killed by the multiversal "defenses" that Nix Uotan brought to bear against him(which only happened in the first place thanks to Superman's wish from the Miracle Machine.)

It is fiction galan I would hope by now you’d catch on. You really act surprised when writers do what they want to sell comics. Dc owns the character not that hack, Morrison.

Thanos always gets what he wants. I wish people would listen to me and quit being prisoners of the moment.

Told you all.

He who laughs last laughs best.

That Shazam trailer was dogshit tho 😆 It was like a trip back to the green lantern era of comic book movies.

I cringed during the trailer multiple times. It looked and felt gross. Remember when they said dc is darker and edgier.

I think you should reread what I said. I think that it could be slightly good. Maybe I didn't put the right emphasis on it. What I'm saying is that it's probably going to be Batman Forever level bad instead of Suicide Squad level bad.

The costume looks pretty bad, can't lie lol.

But I'm excited for it, hope it turns out fun.

When was the last time you watched a fun live action film by WB/DC?

10 years ago, TDK?
