I grew up on the medium, I love the stories, but the majority of writers who enter the profession aren't exactly what you'd call "well adjusted".

Don't knock Michael Cray. It's been fantastic from start to now. This and The Wild Storm are some of the best books on the stand.

Always make sure to thoroughly vet a girl before getting emotionally involved boys. Make sure she has a good relationship with her father, make sure she has half-decent friends who don't enjoy excessive amounts of partying. Even if she doesn't act like them and stands out from the bunch, in difficult times, alcohol + plus male attention is what the friends will advice her to use to distract herself. And right after a break up? That shit is legitimately torturous. Worse than getting tazed, beaten up, or suffering a broken collar bone.

I'm in the middle of this situation right now. My gf broke up with me last weekend because I'm super busy with work/school. Shit sucks. Plenty of fish in the sea, buuuut when you find a Jane Foster worthy of your Mjolnir, it's hard to let go.

My gf is a saint, but I need to get her back before this leech best friend of hers (A recent one at that) has her do some dumb shit like go clubbing. For some reason she dislikes me because I called her a worthless, broke, c*nt with no work ethic and too high of a BMI to be so snobby.
