What do you make of the purple "waves" around the earth in the beginning of the issue, and the Sentinel fight?

It seems like he was manipulating the magnetic/cosmic fields in space, as in the beginning of the issue they were much more spread out. srug

I may not agree with everything Claremont, but the guy writes an interesting Magneto. Him not ripping those humans apart actually surprised me... we need a Claremont Magneto ongoing imo. Seems like he came in pissed off like Starlin does on Thanos.

Also lol at the Hulk scenes. Carver drew the issue, and Quan wrote the dialogue

Carver would have wrote "Only the scan daddy can save you now."

I have just come across a character known as Shuma Gorath.

Should I expect much of him in the comics?

Is he even that powerful?

I heard he got beat by Strange pretty badly.

He's nothing special.

Even a normal street level wrestler like Mike Haggar was able to pummel him.

I see, I read this one thread and they made it sound like Shuma would defeat Dormammu, I doubt it, but they rest cases.
