Not sure what the hubbub is all about. Batman clearly slowed his reentry from the peak of 40k mph. How much? We could reasonably calculate given we know how far he was when he started and how much time passed when he passed out and woke up. But someone else who isn't 9 beers in can do the math.

Someone else can also cite to real world science and figure out how high a temperature a high tech oxygen mask could withstand before melting.

Feat reminds me of Cap sitting below a nuke's rocket launch w/ his energy shield.

More impressive to me, personally, is the impact he survived. He made a huge crater when he landed.
