Hercules, now you can tell Sentry was toying with him. He even asked him did he want him to unleash the power of a million suns on him and herc kicked him in the n***. That wasnt a fight, that was a spar and herc outsmarted him.

Genis is far above a skyfather. This is the guy that can bust open universes and Sentry stalemated him while holding back.
The collective is a skyfather level being.
Madelyn is as close to a skyfather that you can get with her magical abilities. This is a woman that DR. DOOM fears and Sentry took her out in two panels.
Lets not even bring up the void, a being that fought the entire marvel earth that included Dr. Strange along with other powerful heros and Sentry beat it. I'm pretty sure there is more but I'm just forgetting about it right now.

Being stupid and mentally weak is part of the character, its not like a one-time situation where the character forgets his power for plot proposes, Sentry ALWAYS forgets his powers. Is on the character, he is really crazy. Putting up a fight with a sane Sentry is not respecting the character's principle at all.
You cannot call low showings what happens on average.

I made a mistake and corrected my error on my next post. We both know he does not have his own comic. Its going to be a while before that happens. I should have edited my post.
It was stated that both was holding back but it also stated that the energy that both was dishing out could have shredded a planet, so I dont think that they were completely holding back. We do know that genis was taking the fight kind of serious and seen Sentry as a threat because he couldnt drop him and he resorted to bfring him. Didnt it say that they were even.
Part of his power turning Ms. Marvel to binary and how easily he walked through people. We know one thing, he was far above high herald.
That still does not change the fact that Madelyn magic puts her sky father level.

the collective's best showing was beating alpha flight, yes? you don't need to be skyfather to pull that off.
so by that rationale, deathstroke beating zatanna puts him at high herald?

If you are physically fighting that character on his level without a sneak attack, etc... just a straight up fight, then yes, you are on the characters level. Deathstroke hit Zatanna in the stomach and made her throw up so that she couldnt talk. Thats not putting him on her level, thats him using his resources.

If Superman doesn't use Heat Vision in a fight where he can easily win by using it, then we can say its PIS/CIS because Superman is entirely capable of using HV, he does so in many comics to a variety of goals. However Sentry, mentally unstable as he is, cannot in every showing summon every power because, do you think he resurrected Lindy and so he can go resurrecting people in a team battle or did he resurrected her just because he was in a mental stress and his power manifested?
To continue with the analogy, Sentry may not be able to use HV at his ease even if its in his power to use it.

that's not actually true.
i've actually read a higher percentage of thor and norrin's appearances than i have superman's (and yes, im only talking about post crisis).
if we're going by your definition of what constitutes a skyfather:
Superman has beaten/matched Despero, Darkseid and Mongul.
Thor has beaten/matched Bor and Surfer.
Surfer has beaten/matched Hulk and Loki.
Now, i might not strictly believe those guys are skyfathers, but going by what seems to be your classification, that's what i've come up with...

the difference is, though, that superman never puts the outcome of a fight in jeopardy by not using his hv or another power.
