Damn it, this issue was the worst one yet. Even not taking into account the low showing. The solicits lied to me. What the f*ck?
I got the comic expecting some epic battle between the two Ego's with Thor caught in the middle and absolutely nothing happened. It literally took 22 pages for Thor to get to Alter Ego's core; it could have been done in 5. It felt like a #2 issue and not a #4 issue. The last issue better be something amazing. Maybe the suspense of everything was lost just lost on me. Rodi like I've said is a more down to earth guy. To him perhaps this was all a nail biting sequence but to me, if nothing else, I was expecting Thor to just burst free.
Maybe I'm so disappointed because my expectations were high and I thought this was the last issue.
On a happier note, my Walter Simonson Omnibus arrived yesterday. 😄 Just gotta go pick it up.

Eh, Thor and Superman each had a sub par showing. They're still superior to Bill/Hulk.
Not from what I have been seeing. Writers and Marvel/DC are changing these characters, drastically. Its hard to find a high showing frm the main peeps these days whereas Bill and Hulk has been consistent.
I told you all a while back that they were planning on depowering everyone to levels that they should be at to make stories interesting and I even told you all that Hulk is going to receive a major upgrade.
Thor isn't this planetary being that you think he is/was and Bendis said this and it is showing in his stories and you will continue to see it in his stories but guess what... Bill level planets for fun.
By the way... not to long from now, Thor is going to get his a** whipped and the person that is going to do it is going to make you turn away from Thor comics forever. Hell, Thor is going to admit that this person is superior. I can't wait for you to see it Rage... want to see your posts.
Lol, whatever you say bro. I'll admit that in this last decade Thor seems to have taken a bit of a drop -started around the Onslaught saga- but I'd blame on the lack of editorial intervention under Quesada. The same has been happening to Clark in DC. They're still superior to Hulk/Bill.
Bendis said that? Really? Never seen it but okay.
Okay Carver, we'll see.

Its sad that Clark and Thor are dipping in power but it has happened and I agree about the Onslaught saga.
They are not superior to Hulk or Bill but to each his own.
If I were you, I wouldn't pick up another Thor comic... this a** whippin he is about to receive is going to change KMC forever. Remember these words, remember that I said this. I'm not going to tell you by who though, don't want to ruin the surprise.
Just know Rage... if you need a shoulder to cry on, I'm here buddy.
😄

I imagine there's a difference in leveling a planet and leveling Ego the Living Planet.
Gladiator himself couldn't level apart Ego as he did that small planet.

he's already shamed ego before, and iirc fought ego prime. not sure if astonishing is canon case of all the characters showing up in every damned comic being published at the same time, but it's a sucky showing nonetheless

Now I'm curious. Who did the Force tell you would beat Thor?
Lol... its not the force "nut".
A couple of years back I was a manager of a comic book store and I met a guy that owned/managed one of the most popular comic book stores in the U.S. located in Atlanta Ga and he gets the back end on what happens to the characters to help him sell comics and I get a back drift of info from him when I talk to him every now and then.

Low to Mid Herald max? Bull. Disagreed.
Thor's owned Ego about twice, and was taking it to Ego Prime true, but I just don't think Rodi knows how to handle Thor on a big scale. It's why his been stuck with the sword and sorcery type Thor before this. At least based on what I've read. He said breathing in space was out there for him so that gives you a bit of perspective. But I knew this going in; wasn't expecting any planet smashing from him, his no Oeming. I wanted a good story is all. Pretty sure it's cannon.
Oh yea, it isn't a good showing by any stretch, especially since Choi portrayed scale so poorly. It looked like he was buried under a few tons of rock while I think Rodi meant for it to be a much larger mass.

Uhuh. If it happens, I'll give you the credit for being right for once though.
