Man, I don't know... At times it seems a lot of the EU really overpowers people. For one, Luke obviously. For two, Palpatine.
I mean, come on. Being able to destroy a fleet with Force Lightning? That would be like Sidious being on the Home One (this is hypothetical and for the sake of arguement, whilst it would never happen) when the fleet jumped into space above Endor, and focusing all of his energy and destroying the entire Imperial fleet - the Executor, all the Star Destroyers, fighters, frigates, transports, and the Death Star.
Sounds really unplausible to me.

Thats the reason I hate EU. The exact reason.

That's the reason I hate SOME of EU. It also dissapoints me when it turns potential fans like yourself away. I mean, not ALL EU is like that. Some EU is actually pretty good. For instance, KotOR, the X-Wing series, the Jedi Knight series, the Grand Admiral Thrawn trilogy, and so on.
The KOTOR series IS good. I agree. But it still presents Jedi (and Sith) as being far overpowered imo. Now I know its inherent as its a video game and all. But Revan being able to destroy the force or whatever it is? Common, just lame. But the game itself, the first one anyways, is an amazing RPG. And I loved it, and I usually don't like RPG's, so thats saying something. But it still presents ideas that are absurd in comparison to the movies I think.
and there is SOME EU that I do indeed like. There is a book by Kristine Kathryn Rusch: The New Rebellion that I really enjoyed. It presents a real situation, with no absurdly overpowered Jedi. I thought it was a very good book. If all EU was written like this, I'd enjoy it. But sadly I find that more of it is not like this and is just too absurd for me to take seriously and therefore too absurd for me to enjoy. Star Wars isnt supposed to be about Super beings who can throw stars and crap like that.

Yeah, I always thought that Sidious was one of the most powerful sith, but then most KMC KOTOR fanboys are like "no way noob"
You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Most people here are not kotor fanboys there were plenty of them in the past very few of the mremain and when they do show up they are ussually critized as much as those that think that the movies rule all.

I am so confused right now....
Its just that i'm getting sick with people everybody here Kotor Fanboys, when most people here (Including those that think Ancients Pwn movie Sith) are not.

Well, this topic certainly shifted in the last few posts, then. o_o I thought I was going to be going up against like, the mob with my dissing on ridiculous EU.
Really, there's no point. People who see KOTOR and the Ancient Sith as ridiculous tend to advocate DE Sidious and NJO characters, who can be seen as equally overpowered, and with less justification for being so. It's pretty much stupid how it works. And then there's the movie purists who think that EU is an abomination.
