The fight wasn't off panel. After Gladiator bullrushed Colossus, he sent Warbird to get his son, then he squared off with Cyclops in an optic blast battle. Then Colossus got him back with the haymaker. His face did look like that from one punch.
He looked so much worse at the end of the issue though. He was ktfo and beat all the hell up.
I've got the issue right here on my computer. Not off panel.
Warbird takes on Iceman, beats him then goes to get Kid Gladiator.
Gladiator goes up against Cyclops, breaks the optic stalemate and punches him. Then Colossus and Namor go to town on him before Cyclops calls them off and blasts Gladiator one more time. Next scan is him crumpled up in Warbird's arms, bloody, beaten, and unconscious.
It doesn't take a genius to work out it was off-panel.
The whole story kept switching back and forth, one minute Glads and Cyke are locked in a eye blast stalemate, then Glads is on top of him getting some ground and pound in, and when it switches back Cyclops is standing with Emma and the others are already beating on Glads.

I don't think lack of oxygen contributed to Ben's loss much at all. He did his best at that point by knocking his helmet off.
You don't think the lack of being able to breathe had anything to do with his loss... WOW!
IMO Colossonaut recognized that the ONLY way he could beat Ben was to BFR him knowing that Ben obviously needed to breathe. FTR Ben didn't just knock his helmet off he disintegrated it.

The only way he could beat him was by BFR? When he was physically contending with Rulk before his demon transformation?
And if memory serves, Thing was fighting Namor underwater just fine for an extended period. So him being unable to breathe on the moon shouldn't have affected him too bad. Unless Colossus was just beating him that badly.
And the Juggernaut helmet has always been easy to remove with physical force. Anyone with enough strength who tries succeeds. It's magic armor and can be resummoned at will, so it doesn't have to be super duper unbreakable.

While Ben was beating Namor's ass under water he was able to receive oxygen to breath from some underwater springs. Unfortunately there aren't any of those on the moon.
Are you saying that Pete didn't know that he was taking the fight out of the blue area of the moon?
Ben didn't just remove the helmet from his head but, disintegrated it with a punch. I've never seen that happen before to a Juggernaut.

When was that? I don't remember that particular bit happening in the comic, but I remember everything else. Scans?
I'm not saying he didn't know, but it wasn't necessary. He just wanted to end the fight more quickly than it was going. Ever since he's become Juggernaut he's always trying to end fights as fast as possible so he doesn't lose control. So getting him out of the blue zone was the quickest way to end the fight, and that's what he did. It didn't mean he could outright stomp thing on his own, unless you think Thing = Colossus+Juggernaut stacked, which in everybody's opinion, he's not.
And teenage Colossus fighting Juggernaut back in the day ripped it to shreds. Nimrod popped it off with a casual backhand. Captain Universe destroyed it with a pretty standard energy blast. Like I said, it can be resummoned at any time, so it's durability doesn't have to be all that great. Plenty of people have violently removed the helmet over the years.
You like Thing, I get it, fine. But don't try to downplay Colossus because Thing got wrecked.
