No, that's terrible.

as in hell no

Organic steel is fine. They just need to show him doing well in 1v1 fights. Colossus has always been solid when it comes to lifting feats and durability feats, but he could do with a few fights where he's shown as an actual cl100.

No more BS like the Omega Red thing.

The first time in the 90's or the most recent time where he shrugged off a lot of really powerful hits and then just kind dug into his skin?

The second one.

I guess it's just too much to ask that a fall from an okay height is less damaging than a punch from a pissed off colossus.

Though the Jim Lee era has a bunch of examples too.

Yeah, a 3 mile drop is okay but the guy who earned WWH's respect and punched out the Beast of Badoon...naaaaah.

It was stuff like that, that made me love Whedon's run on X-Men. He made Pete a badass.

I don't know what makes writers not want to give him any credibility. He's the main strong guy out of all the X-Men for a reason.

I just think they don't get how to write the character, and don't get how different he is from typical strongmen.

If he was written to his full potential, he'd be a beast. Tons of martial arts training from Logan, Class 100 Strength(low to mid tier), one of the highest durability stats out there for a guy who can't bust moons or shoot lasers like the sun from his eyes.

He doesn't even get any love in the cartoons.

Aye.

He's so much more, too.

Hopefully one day he gets the respect he deserves. I wonder how they're gonna handle him and Magik now.

As he's basically disowned her at this point.

Honestly, he should have done it sooner. I'm tired of writers turning Colosuss in to an idiot every time she shows up.

Yeah. Family only goes so far.r When you have a murdering psychopathic demoness for a little sister. You have to take a step back from that.

The reason I ask about strengthening Colossus's steel is that last two things I remember of him before the Juggs upgrade was Colossus getting his arms bent and broken by Hulk and the Nimrods. Even after the upgrade he got his skull cracked and other bones broken. Something that has never happened to a full powered Cain.

he should do an art festival
like be like a special guest artist
of course ive always want to see some professional wrestling moves
like put a villian in an abdominal stretch
or duck and give a back suplex or a german suplex or russian leg sweep then an arm bar
he is quick enough to do these things

Na, he don't need a upgrade. The Hulk that bent his arms was one of the strongest incarnations there was and even that Hulk gave Colossus some props. And I believe it took 4 or 5 Nimrods(which are Class 100) to hold Colossus down while one of them amped to break his arms, and even then Colossus kept fighting. And it took only one Nimrod to take down Namor and Cain Juggernaut. Colossus is tough and durable but not indestructable.

I gotta say, it doesn't matter if Hulk gave him props, all I remember where the panels where his arms were getting torn apart. I also remember Venom decking him and Deadpool throwing up in his face and knocking him off his feet. The point I'm trying to make is I can't recall any good showings right off the back. Admittingly, I don't follow Piotr as close as some of the other fans in this thread, but if he did something note worthy, it would take the place of him get peeled apart. I'd like to see him stand out as a brick and not just a generic strong guy who, in fights, could be replaced by another generic strong guy.

Also, I know you know, but I'll point out anyways, that Nimrod only beat Cain through sonics (which was stupid) and not physical force like he did with Piotr.

It don't matter if Hulk gave him props? Really? Hulk was one-shotting people left and right, he had to put some mustard in defeating Colossus.

It still took 4 or 5 Nimrods to put down Colossus and Like I said he still wasn't down he kept fighting. And the only reason he was able to bend Colossus' arm was because he was being held down.

It didn't look like Hulk was having trouble with Colossus at all, or at least the art didn't depict it. That's not the point. The main thing I remember about the fight was that Colossus got his arms broken and then pushed aside, not Hulks words. Colossus did stand his ground, I'll give you that. If Colossus didn't get his arms bent back, fans would have liked that more than Hulk giving Piotr props, maybe have the two in a quick brawl with Pete being KO'd or knocked away.

The main thing is, why both instances are in the ownage thread. Not for Hulk telling Pete he was a good fighter/could have been a good opponent before WWH, or that Piotr was able to take on 4 Nimrods before a 5th came in. They're there because Pete got destroyed. And that is what people (present company excluded) remember about those fights.

I do remember a good instance, while it is a flashback, a younger teenage Colossus KOing Savage Hulk. That's something Cain hasn't done yet.

Hulk said Colossus would have given his earlier incarnations(Savage, Fixit, Merged, etc...) a good fight, after he'd taken down just about everyone else. Then he bent his arms back. This is the same Hulk that nearly killed Thing in 2 punches, and beat Hercules near to death. There's no shame in losing to a guy like that.

And Namor and Magneto and a bunch of top tiers got taken down fairly quickly in that fight, Colossus was ripping through Nimrods like toilet paper until one had to take the time out to considerably amp his strength to break his arm. The whole calculations for that were stupid by the way.

As for Nimrod fighting Cain, that was still primarily classic Juggernaut, and he used a sonic beam to scramble the signal between his brain and body so he couldn't move.

The Savage Hulk thing was nice, he used his speed, agility and skills to take him out.

And yes, Colossus has been getting taken down, but it's a lot harder than you're making it sound. It took the 2nd or 3 strongest Hulk ever to bend his arms; it took 5 robots from the future all amping their strength to ridiculous levels to slow him down.
