There's also the time when Deathverine attacked Colossus' brother during the twelve sage. Colossus confronted him and Deathverine sliced him with his adamantium sword. It didn't harm Colossus and Deathverine had to use some kind of blast to take Colossus down.
Deathverine's sword was made of adamantium? I had no idea. Could you tell me in what issue that was stated?

That's true, I don't know if it was stated to be adamantium. It wasn't affected by anything in the whole series though, it even penetrated Hulk's skin rather easily.. It took Cyke's full optic blast, Jean's TK attack etc. (Wolverine had to use Hulk's own momentum against him in order to severally damage his neck, but he was able to plunge the sword into Hulk's back just fine.)
I recall a poster calling it an adamantium sword, but I guess it wasn't stated as being one. My bad

Colossus had a neat little piece in UXM. How durable are Colossus eye's? There was mention they "Might" be his softest part, as in "aim your armor piercing rounds at his eyes". Would that work on him?
it shouldn't. his eyes are supposed to be, iirc, as tough as the rest of him...
Originally posted by Ptr_GrifinYou have scans of this? Also, I heard this is the last part of the story arc so that means it's time to whoop some @ss. And according to the handbooks his eyes can withstand a .45 caliber, so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
That's what I thought. I hope he doesn't get injured that way in the next issue.
Does Colossus appear to break these vibranium bonds in these scans? I think he did as you can see pieces of the metal fly from his wrists.

It took two days on intense reading, but I've finally made it to the most current page on this thread..... yay. And 616 Colossus' eyes are the same as the rest of his body, but since they're still eyes, their correspondent to act like eyes. True they're organic steel, but they're much weaker than the rest of him. And Ultimate Colossus' eyes stay normal. I love Colossus, but I have a question, when Ult Colossus lifted the sub, shouldn't his eyes have popped from the pressure?

Ah, I remember that. It's in my closet somewhere. But I'm pretty sure the shards were from the pillar. If he were about to break free I'm sure he would have done so from the beginning instead of having to wait for Cyclop's assisst. But it is a mystery why the shackles came of his arms when all he did was break the pillar he was attached to.
I think the shards are too flat shaped to be rock. Also they are no longer on his wrists either and the pieces are only shown where the bonds were located. I'm guessing that's the vibranium. I think Colossus just got extra motivated because he was starting to wonder if he was gonna melt. Cyclops did douse the magma pit though so that may have helped also. It can be argued either way.

That might have been the Banshee drug doing it's work. But I'm pretty sure that when it was written, Banshee wasn't talked about, so the answer then would be, it's a comic. But good question. I thought Ult. C's eyes turned to steel but it was much weaker.
