Maybe 'technicality' is the wrong word ....Superman has two weaknesses, being able to exploit them does not necessarily mean the character is more powerful. It does mean the character is likely to win any form of confrontation.
My original point still stands, although it has once again been thrown completely out of context (no surprises their 🙄 )
If Superman was to fight the Silver Surfer in a H2H combat, including energy blasts, Superman would win ! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Ulik regulary goes toe to toe against Thor with Mjlnornir. Even a Class 100 w/ Mjlnornir has yet to put Ulik out in one shot. A poisoned Odin K.O.ed him in one punch.
Skyfathers are class 100, esp. Odin. If Thor is class 100, I don't see why Odin wouldn't be or be above. Odin is like Thor, except Odin's a skyfather as well. Moreover, Odin is above Thor in skills and years of combat experience.

Uh... King Thor melted Cap's shield, a feat thought to be impossible. The stuff is more durable than adamantium which is disgustingly durable. He also took 3 (?) ICBM's to the chest, without flinching...
Captain America? Single nukes? Hell, normal Thor can handle nukes perfectly well. Normal Thor also dealt with heat vision extremely well... He waded through it. This is Thor to the "n"th degeree. Superman has no chance in a straight up fight, and very little chance in a brawl. However resistant he has been shown to be against magic, it still DOES hurt him more than non-magic stuff.
Superman is mid herald level. Above Terrax, certainly, but likely a notch below Fallen One and Silver Surfer as well.
Oh, and for the record, Surfer fighting to his fullest should take Sueps out in a "concussive force blasts only" fight. Supes can go to the sun and back in a minute or two. Surfer can cross galaxies in less than that. Surfer wins by pure speed ownage.
