think the rules are good as they are now, they have always worked very well. Only thing that gets me annoyed are the off-topic comments that have been popping up in every thread since 2002 and on. AND I BLAME THE OTF AND IT'S EVIL INFLUENCE FOR THAT (edit 😛)

so who likes popcorn.

Sure he could have said it in a nicer way, but even I think the right of free speech goes that far (as long as nobody reports it, mods have no way of knowing when someone is insulted. And that to me is the key to what is hate speak)

Everyone is permitted opinions, Whirly. It's the way of the world. Theoretically, you're 'hate-speaking' against everyone who's ever had an opinion which goes against your personal view of what should be allowed.

I know, that's why I said theoretically... because it's not really hate-speak but it could be considered that you're arguing against allowing personal opinion. Basically saying freedom of speech should be abolished?

I know where you're coming from and I absolutely loathe it when a member feels they have the right to criticise another because of colour, creed, sex even. Remember that girl who joined, called 'WhiteRacistGurl'? That sickened me, I don't think she should have been allowed to remain a member for long at all. Anyway, I'm all for rules and regulations, but I think the ones we have now should suffice. The only problem seems to be that no one's actually reading them 😬
