I think that you can get Post Crisis. His fights against Daxamites were probably full of PIS and CIS, in no way someone could make his speed and strength to be good enough to compete with Superman level characters through skills alone. Otherwise Batman would be a god...oh wait.
Especially when he is what, 17?
I think that you CAN take Karate Kid, but him beating Superman level characters should not be used as example. Otherwise I can take Batman and show that he can take hits from bloodlusted Superman (he has done so).

Keep thinking that...

I'm okay with it as long as he can only use post-crisis stuff. And seriously.......being as fast as Superman, even with chi and shit is borderline Dragonball Z 😬
Karate Kid meets all of the requirements both Pre and Post crisis. He can't be knocked for his displayed skill level. His powers meet all requirements. Things thrown down with Hulk and Champion, so Val owning a couple Daxamites and hanging with Kon El is fair play.

Post Crisis KK is fine.... you might need to post quite a few scans to convince people that he can hurt Thing-like people though
I'm using Pre-Crisis Karate Kid. He meets all of the requirements. There is no skill limitation. Val simply maximizes what he has. If people can pick which version of Mimic they use, I can choose which version of Karate Kid I use, and either version Pre or Post crisis is within the rules stated, he's simply vastly more adept at using his abilities.

We can use any character that actually appears in a comic, correct?
i don't think one off appearances and the like count.... i think they have to be comic characters as their main form of existance rather than film, book or TV guys who got a comic offshoot (talking about Star Wars and Star Trek type characters)
