I concur...though the inspiration to it usually comes from me being depressed 😂Otherwise...listening to music/playing music. Playing soccer. Playing Medieval Total War 😎 Haning out with my friends.
Yes, there is nothing better for lifting depression than the blues (music).

Everyone, please feel free to add to the list below. The following are things/thoughts that really make me feel better when I feel unhappy:
1. When you experience any emotion that makes you feel discomfort or intense suffering of any kind, say the following to yourself: "This is what suffering feels like. May all other living beings be without suffering while I'm suffering.
2. Other people are suffering more than I do at this very moment, I must have compassion for them.
3. I must not take myself this serious. I have no self, but I'm intimately connected to everything else in the universe.
Please share your thoughts and add to the list.
All these depressed friends of mine who keep on expecting more and more of the world and of their friends is contagious.
Sure it's hard to accept certain stuff or behavior from people but just try to analyse it and realise that it all isn't that dramatic and irreversable as it all seems.
Just keep your calm and educate people on why they're wrong in their negative/prejudiced view.
Of course don't expect yourself to be a major difference or even a slight one at all, just be pleased that you could potentially have a positive influence..

4. We all have different experiences and different tastes in things. We may share certain similarities but they're not identical. I like food....I enjoy fast food occasionally. Certain people don't like fast food at all. Eating a big mac satisfied me and somewhat makes me happy....other people would disagree and even see it as disgusting. There is no general guide to happiness...we make our own guides. Don't be fooled for what might appear as similarities...all of us have differences. Is what makes us unique....
Going off of WD's point, Happiness is a Bacon Double Thickburger from Hardee's, a Super-Sized (R.I.P.) fry from McDonald's, a Frosty from Wendy's, and a Foot-Long Chili-Cheese Coney from Sonic.
Honorable Happiness Mention: A Grilled Stuffed Burrito from Taco Hell and a Giant Cheddar Melt from Arby's.

Second that, but substitute the wine for scented candles in my scenario.
It's also funny to note that this desire for food to bring about happiness and such is a definition for gluttony, one of the seven deadly sins 😂

It's not the want for food that's 'evil', but excessive or obsessive want for food. Actually, the intake of food cannot make you permanently happy, only temporarily, and real happiness is eternal and inner and comes from the mind at peace with things, without desire.
