My mistake, your scan was just small. I apologize.

First panel of the second scan is in my pic...Page 1 just says that Vertigo strikes. Page 2 starts from my scan...

No problem.

Secondly, when Vertigo engages the X-Men in the tunnels, she emits a 360 degree pulse

no she doesn't.... she's not in the middle of them, they're all in one set direction from her

Thing maybe.

Blitzkrieg, no, if he is a distance away. Vertigo's pulse can't cover the whole sky. Or the whole forest.

It's not going to be hard to find where he is with a bright trail of lightning pointing directly to his location. Also, Monolith can down him also. Vertigo is not the only teammate I have with ranged attacks.

Excuse me, but how can Monolith see anything at all from the smoke he has created?

Not to mention Blitzkrieg can create shields to protect him from attacks.

Excuse me.

180 degrees (as I said earlier in this thread).

A bright trail of lightning is going to be very easy to see, even in smoke. It has a very bright luminating effect, and Blitzkrieg doesn't have superhuman reflexes.

Also, Monolith isn't stationary, he's bringing up my rear and covering my 6 as my other team members are advancing and flanking you.

All that smoke is going to really hinder his vision, since he has practically set every tree from his vicinity in fire.

And Blitzkrieg can get up in the sky before Monolith has even finished his burning. Karate Kid and Vertigo have to get in the air immediatly when he starts unless they want to die in smoke and fire. Blitzkrieg sees them flying up - ZAP. Karate Kid and Vertigo are dead. Vertigo is also dead if they decide to stay on ground. You don't have much choices that don't end up with Vertigo dying...after she's down, there is nothing stopping my team of killing yours. Blitzkrieg will rain lighting at Karate Kid and Gamora. Agent Zero can take down Monolith.

We're in a redwood forest. Redwood trees are 100+ feet tall. I don't have to ascend beyond the canopy to fly. I can weave through the trees and flank your position without breaking cover. Advantages of a flight ring (and not leaving a trail of lightning when I fly).

Also, a contiuous stream of lightning is very, very bright. It's not going to be hard to distinguish. To the contrary will be Blitzkrieg's ability to mark targets from his vantage point. None of my teammates are emitting a continuous bright source of light from themselves as they move, and he's looking down through a vail of trees and smoke. Blitzkrieg, however, leaves a trail of lightning that leads directly to his position.

So the smoke won't come up to the trees? I've seen forest fires before, the smoke can be seen from afar.

And what stops my team of creating their own forest fire, to come against your team. You know what is the most common cause for forest fires?

Lightning.

I will set the trees on the path of KK and Vertigo on fire. They are cornered, need to go up, unless they want Vertigo to die.

And Blitzkrieg is waiting for possible flyers in the sky, shooting them down.

giant stone guys running around with heat blasts coming out of their hands?

No.

That is the second most common. 😉

Also - the treetops will cloud Monolith's visibility even further.

Firstly, you don't know which direction KK and Vertigo are going.

Secondly, you're already using Blitzkrieg to blow away the smoke.

Thirdly, initially you were using Blitzkrieg (and Thing) to run out in the open and cause a comotion to draw my team out.

Now your having Blitzkrieg set trees on fire, even though you have no idea which direction Karate Kid and Vertigo are coming from?

I don't think so man. you're stretching Blitzkrieg far too thin. He can't be everywhere at once, and he doesn't have superhuman reflexes. And on top of that, his flight abilities give away his position as well as the starting point of your team, as a continuous trail of lightning follows him from lift off through flight. It's going to be easy to see him coming (being that he's got a bright trail of lightning going everywhere he does), and KK can fly faster than he can.

It won't matter. Blitzkrieg is a beacon of lightning. He's like a bright lighthouse in a dense fog. It's not going to be hard to mark him unless he stays on the ground, and if he stays on the ground he'd be even more vulnerable because he's not as agile or mobile as Karnak, Gamora, Karate Kid, or A-X. Without flight he's just a normal human with lightning powers.

I know the general direction of your team. Blitzkrieg might be an obsucure character who no one has heard before this Tournament, but he certainly isn't stupid. Unless Blitzkrieg assumes that your team is running away from them, (and he isn't that self-preserved) he will be blocking their path with his lightning. The smoke takes at least few minutes to arrive to my team, unless there is very fast wind blowing straight at my team. So Blitzkrieg doesn't have to worry about blowing the smoke away.

Meanwhile, KK and Vertigo are flying straight at the fire that Blitzkrieg has started.

And continous trail of lightning follows him, but nothing stops him from flying like this:

Your team won't see his trail behind the trees. And Blitzkrieg has skill to do that, he can fly even inside rooms.
