The Judgment of Celestial

The mist faded and there was no sign of Mistress Helen. Laughter echoed through the arena. Patches of ice still remained on the arena here and there. Helen emerged from one of the patches of ice half way and smiled, "impressive. But you waste too much of your energy just to remove the mist."

Helen sank back into the ice as the ice begun to reform on the floor's surface. It covered most of the floor again and Mistress Helen was hidden in the ice. Helen emerged behind Bralor with twin ice swords. She twirled them around at high speeds and begun to attack Bralor with swift precise attacks. Icicles shot up from the floor at Bralor as Helen continued her attacks.

Sebastian walked by a door and over heard sounds coming from an arena. He turns around in shock to see Master Helen sparring against a pupil.....

Sebastian thought: But how?!

"weird huh?" andrew said, walking up to sebastion.."ive been watching them for a while now.."

Bralor jumped into the air, narrowly dodging the ice swords. They cut him in a few places, but not deeply. "Two swords? Funny, I only need one." he said. It was rather stupid on his part, taunting an enemy that was clearly years above him in experience, but he wasn't beaten yet. His energy had faltered from the two shockwaves he had discharged earlier, but he had enough energy to make a swift stab at the woman's shoulder. It wasn't until then, though, that Bralor realized it wasn't just her that was attacking him. An icicle shot out from the ground, it stabbed deeply into his left leg. Giving out a brief scream of pain, he fell to the ground, streams of blood curving like veins through the ice. Ignoring the pain, he noticed the tip of the icicle still stuck in his wound. He had enough celestial energy left to tap the ice, turning it into a warmer, more solid substance, almost like wood. Then, in his seemingly submissive state, he threw a surprise attack at Helen's foot with a slash as fast as sound.

Helen's foot shattered and her entire body turned to ice and crumbled. Mistress Helen was sitting next to Andrew and Sebastian watching the fight. "This much trouble on that? You have a lot to learn child but you are skilled for your age. You better go see Dr. McGurr about that wound."

Helen stood up and snapped her fingers and all the ice faded away. Helen looked over at Andrew and Sebastian, "didn't realize me having a sparring match would attract a crowd." she joked and walked out the training room.

Sebastian turns around to Andrew.

Sebastian: How is it possible? I thought that no Celestial Master are allowed to fight a pupil in this academy.....

Sebastian then heard Master Helen speak.

Sebastian: Master Helen, why did you spar with a pupil?

Bralor stood up, looking at the shattered remains of the clone vanish. He'd just killed an illusion, and he wasn't sure if he should feel proud about doing that. If he should, he had a long way to go. He sheathed his sword, gave a slight smile, then staggered off to the medical wing.

Sunday, 6:00 PM

Mistress Helen stopped when she heard Sebastian talk to her. She didn't turn around and only said, "I was bored."

Mistress Helen headed down the hallway giving Sebastian and Andrew a back hand wave.

Jack entered the library searching for some 'information' that could answer some of his questions. He peered through the vast amounts of books and came to one called the Chosen of Celestial. Jack recalled the legend of the Chosen of Celestial for it was famous throughout Igros.

The Chosen of Celestial is one chosen by Aon himself to house his power in

Only Elijah Diadem of the Silver Age has been deemed worthy enough to be granted the powers of Aon. The second Chosen has been told would appear during dark times but no one knew who the Chosen was for it was impossible to determine it. The only true way was to find the one who can pull the sacred sword from the pedestal in the Unexplored North.

Dr. McGurr noticed Bralor enter. She sighed and said, "you looked like you had a rough battle What happened?"

"That Helen woman had a spar with me, with her ice sculptures. As for the wound, used to be a piece of ice in my leg. Now it's a piece of wood in my leg... I converted it to stop the bleeding, somewhat. Some bandages would help..."

"You know, Eve. You have a beautiful smile. You should do it more often and I can guarantee that you will after you have some of this delicious food."

Brad took Eve to a restaurant named "From Our Country to Yours". It was a nice place. There was nothing romantic about it but the ambiance of it was humbling. The waiter greeted, seated and handed them the menus. "You can order whatever you like. But may I recommend the Manicotti Florentine. It's the best thing to have at lunch," he smiled.

Eve gave a small blush at Brad's comment before they had left. When they had gotten there she had at first felt out of place, she had never been in a restaurant before, she always ate alone in the garden. She tried her best not to show her weirdness as she just nodded at his suggestion "Sure" she said quietly with a small smile in return.

"So you want me to order for you then," Brad asked through a smile. "Alright. Prepare to be amazed." When the waiter came back to the table, Brad ordered in a language that was once forgotten. The waiter was so amazed.

"How did you know that I was from Laegeroast," he said to Brad. "I'm one of the few people left of that city."

"My father used to take us vacationing there. I remember the type of hair and that everyone there had a hard time breathing because it was so high up in the mountains," Brad replied. "You have asthma. I can sense it."

The waiter smiled and when he brought their lunch, he made sure that they had dessert on the house. Brad looked to Eve. He didn't want to seem like he was trying to impress her but of course he was. "Now, let's talk about what you were doing with your Celestial energy earlier today."

Tina sighed in woe as she kicked the bucket once more. She held her comb and stared at it for a while before running it gently trough her hair, straightening it up. She cursed herself for being so clumsy, but decided not to haunt herself with it anymore. She instead gave herself a smile, hoping that the mirror would come out one day. That she would see someone with it and know who's ass she was going to kick to get it.

She decided to walk back to the libary, as most of her notes that she had made was messed up by the water. The stupid water, it should not ever have been invented. She shook her head annoyed, as she slammed the door of the libary up. It was all back to scratch and she guessed she would have to be here all night...... again...... to get all the notes together....... again!

She sighed as she grabbed a piece of paper, a penn and a book, before sitting down in a chair by a table and opening the book. She did read in a stunning speed, flapping page after page, writing as she stared blankly into the book.

"Stupid bucket, messing my evening up! Stupid mirror thief! Stupid festival, having me go alone! I swear, it is all one big conspiracy!"

Her voice was quiet and distant, as she mumbled to herself.

"You had a fight with Helen?" McGurr asked amazed. "Are you that foolish? You should know better than to fight one of the top four. Why only Headmaster Quiin, Master Cecil, and Master Locke...other members of the top four...can fight her with a hope of victory. Now this may sting."

McGurr pulled the wood out of Bralor's leg. She placed her index finger near the wound as it started to shine. Small orbs of light flew into the wound as it healed completely in a matter of seconds.

"All done," McGurr said standing up. "And remember, don't take on Mistress Helen or any one else of the top four."

Jack heard someone slamming the door of the library. He was standing at a book shelf looking through some books but the sound caused him to lower it to see who had entered. Jack spotted what appeared to be an angry Tina retaking her notes. Jack looked down into the book again and remembered her mirror. Jack looked into his bag and found it still wrapped in the fine cloth. Jack took it out of the cloth and brushed it off and walked over to the table Tina was sitting at.

"I believe this belongs to you," Jack said holding the mirror out so Tina could take it.

"My.... mirror!"

She gently took it out of his hands with a smile on her face, looking into it. Her hair was a mess and she ran her head into the table. "There is always something" She thought to herself as she stared into the table. She then shook it of her and sat up straight again, with a smile on her face. Not even she knew if she was faking it or if it was real. The mirror was back, but only to reflect her bad excuse of hair. She then turned to Jack and got up from the chair.

"Thank you so much, sir!"

Her reaction to the finder of the mirror was different than what she had thought. She actually thought about getting angry, but she was only glad her mirror was back in one piece. With a smile on her face she leaned over Jack and gave him a big hug, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Thank you"

She said, holding him. At that point, she did not want to let go. This was the first time she had hugged someone because she wanted to hug, in a long time. Mostly it was just her annoying brother or sister, or some other relative. She had not exactly made any friends here, as most took distance of her. She was a bringer of bad luck in many cases, which was pretty obvious. Most of the time, nothing worked in her benefit.

So, she gave Jack a tight hug as compensation for all the tough times she have had lately, as she drifted away in a minor world of dreams and having her eyes closed.

Jack was caught off guard by Tina's sudden 'action.' He stood motionless for awhile with her arms wrapped around him. Jack gently wrapped his arm around her to return the hug and said, "it was no big deal."

"No, really! I value this mirror a lot and I am not used to people being so kind to me."

She smiled as she let go and sat down on the table. She put the mirror to the side and smiled at Jack. She put her hands behind her and looked for a brief moment at the mirror who laid next to her. She then turned her head and smiled at Jack again. For the time being, she could not think about going back to the notes and studies at all. Too much joy to spend it on boring penn, paper and book.

Sebastian was on his way out of the Academy. By the exit was the library. He walked by the empty library but the notice Tina hugging Jack.

It then hit him about himself being lonely and never thoguht of. He stood their, wanting to never have to see that to keep him from getting bad thoughts into his head before the exams, but it's too lat.e He walked away and left through the main exit. He slams the door hard and takes out his sword, swinging it in cicular motion as he walks.

"I wasn't looking for a victory. If I was going to train alone for weeks, there would be no point in neglecting to test it on a tough opponent. Of course I would lose, but I had fun... At least I lasted more than a couple of minutes." When the doctor finished healing him, he thanked her and stepped out. He immediately went to the library, noticing the sign of public affection, then looked around until he found a book. Pulling it out of the shelf, he flipped through the pages until he found what he was looking for under the "Offensive Spells" addendum of the book.

Chapter XVII: Fire Spells

Shockwave: The user creates a wave of dark aura that extends in all directions, knocking things back while giving a fiery aftershock.

He went on reading about this spell, on how to use it and more of what it can do. That's the spell I used in the fight.

Magma Shield: The user creates a field around their body which will protect them somewhat from physical attacks and burn whatever touches it directly. It is created by focusing negatively charged celestial energy around the body, concentrating it into a physical object, but cutting off the transition midway. This will cause it to be physical, but also gives the user full mobility.

That's a new one. That could help against ice attacks.

Burning Charge: Like the shockwave, but it creates a fiery wave. It will also give the user magnetic powers, giving them the ability to control electrons in objects and lift them up while simultaneously burning it. The user can also lift objects without burning them. It is achieved the same way as the magma shield, cutting off the transition between a wave of fire and a shockwave so that it gets the effect that it has.

He read on about other techniques, but eventually, it stopped. The page just cut off. It wasn't just a normal end to the list, but something was supposed to be there. A magical lock was put on that entire section of the book. Forbidden spells? he thought. Spells that are too dangerous to be used. He closed the book, then left, but not without the curiosity to learn more about these forbidden spells.

Eve smiled at the way Brad had handled everything, she also felt a bit of jealousy that his father had taken him on vacations and her father barely made enough for them to eat. She hid her emotions well and looked at him weird when he asked about her celestial energy "Do you mean when I was putting my energy into my sword?" she asked trying to remember everything she had done that day.

"Yeah. I've been trying to learn how to do that for the longest. How did you learn how to do that?"
