Goku training with weights in the Other World is actually Canon. The scan he provided is part of the original mangas. On the other hand you are right that the Tournament in the Other Realm is not Canon, since that never happened in the mangas. Just thought I'd add that.

It's not cannon. How about you show me the vol. it's in and tell me the page and chapter number. The original manga doesn't have the other wolrd tornament (that's when Goku lifts 40 tons btw) or Goku pushing the moutain (which both happened in Funimation version btw).

There are only 3 types of people who would say Superman would beat Goku. 1. An idiot. 2. A really dumb idiot. 3. A really really dumb idiot. Ok, someone wrote that martial arts wouldn't matter. Are you stupid? Of course it would, unless one opponent was just wayyyy stronger....and there isn't any way Superman is stronger than SSJ4 Goku. It would be a disaster for Superman. Anyway, even if they were close Superman can't even fight...Goku has DEVOTED his entire life to self defense. He once meditated on top of a mountain for 3 DAYS preparing for a tournament that had the best fighters in the universe.(Superman wasn't there...hehe) That's devotion, that's awesome. Also, doesn't Superman get his power from the sun? Get real, Goku destroy the sun, end of Superman....or he could take some kryptonite...end of Superman...but that is neither here nor there. On fair terms...Supermen gets it guys. Goku can instant transmission...thats the speed of light.....anywhere he wants. Your gonna tell me Superman is faster......no. And even if he was...he can't fight, or you know what I mean, not like Goku...at all. Some other idiot wrote that Supermans laser eyes, or heat would beat Goku. Are you insane? Cooler(Frieza's brother) was hurdling a massive energy ball that was going to destroy the planet....Goku blocked it and sent it the other way. I'm sure Superman could use his laser eyes and destroy the earth.....lol Superman got whupped by Doomsday and Goku would annihilate Doomsday. Do you realize the first SSJ was actually an ape.(That is their original form) He was the most powerful being in the universe and destroyed himself. In GT, Goku gets the power of a Golden Ape, and is able to contain the power in his human form...of course with red body hair and orange eyes.That's SSJ4. Come on guys...this is insane power. Frieza could destroy planets and he was beaten by SSJ1.....and SSJ4 is WAY past that!!!! OMG, its crazy. I read one comic where Superman met an entire race of beings that was stronger than him. Guys, Superman is strong but there are MANY other superheros and villians that would end him. Majin Buu was first defeated by like 7 different Kai's that uphold the universe, and some of them died. We're talking about something affecting the universe, a villian so powerful. Not just a plane about to crash and Superman saves the day. Lol Anyway with Goku, you take someone that powerful, and they've dedicated their entire life to fighting and living pure.....they can't lose. Superman isn't even pure, Hell he got drunk as hell in Superman 3. Hey, I'm Superman, I was born strong. I dont need to train or workout....Please. He would get absolutly OBLITERATED by Goku.

Oh, and one more thing. I've studied martial arts for many years now. It's real man. This is biggest factor in why Superman just gets it. Oh and also Goku has noooo weaknesses. I can't take any superhero/villian, etc and tell you who would win. That's the beauty of these forums anyway. Someone put they didn't like trying to compare someone to someone else. Whatever. I know it's at the beginning of the Buu saga (before showing Gohan as an adult), but it's not in the original manga, but the Funimation version (that's probaly what you got).
