It's very hard to have a meaningful friendship with someone without trust...trust means that you expose yourself to another person and break down any barriers between you....it's a hard, but wonderful thing to recieve but it's a even harder, more painful thing to give...

I guess it depends on whether you are prepared to have someone that close to you...

What about online? Can you have an enemy online? You and I have gone at it from time to time, and I've had people say to me that you and I are enemies. I don't see it that way, no more that I do with anyone online. Enemies online seem to be a fairly ridiculous notion.

There are people on this forum who make me question whether or not there should be a law banning certain folk from internet use, but I wouldn't consider them enemies.

I am and have been very open about how I view people's demeanours online, that has included you, Syren and many others. You know that if I have a problem with you I'll say exactly what it is. I stand by a lot of what I said but you realise the error of your ways a lot more than most people and I can respect that.

There are many online whom I would never ever in a thousand years, be friends with or socialize with in real life, just based upon their behaviour. Now, in real life they may be different, but I only have here to base it on. I assume many feel the same about me, but I don't lose sleep over it. How I am here, in some ways differs from my real life personna, because, well, to me, this isn't 'real'.

Yes, and I know exactly where I stand in your opinion most times. I appreciate that more than the ' Oh you're a great guy' TO me, but secretively telling others I'm a putz. I don't agree with you sometimes, and some of the things you say irk me, but in the grand scheme of things I respect you more than most I've encountered here. And yes, I do still feel regret for being an ass with what I did, but having said that, I can't change it at all, so as long as you realize my contrition is sincere, than it's all good in my eyes.
