yo lana, can is et up a kind of 'best of the best' type sig tournament? Everyone who wants to puts up what they think is their best work to date, then some selected judges and i choose which is the best. I think this would be a good idea because it gives people a chance to show of their favourite pieces. What do you say?

We could possibly do something like that in the future, yes.Which reminds me, actually, it's about time for the next Signature Contest. For which I will need a couple of judges. Judges can't enter, however.
NB. read criteria carefully. lol 😐

In standard duels? It says in the rules only renders.
{EDIT - before Lana slipped in} - I've done stock image duels before. As a judge, as long as you don't require anyone to do something thats out of the capabilities of a basic grapics program, its cool. (i.e. can't require animation or transparency)
I wish people did more stock duels.
Renders get overused.
I wouldn't pull a stock image on anyone, but for an intermediate/advanced/epic duel, I say its totally legit.
I think most people are afraid to work with stock and actual images as opposed to renders, because most people will take a look at a stock image and think "what can I do but slap some text on?" But there's a hell of a lot you can do with stock, and in some ways it can be more flexible than just a render.
But being primarily a photomanipulator, I work with stocks almost exclusively and am thus definitely biased towards them. Give me a couple stock photos and some textures and I can make a completely original piece of art.
