Just know this if you don't plan on playing the previous two
Spoiler:
In the first game Samus fought Metroid Prime (a powerful Metroid) and Samus had to leave her power suit after the battle and Metroid Prime fused with the suit to become Dark Samus

I could go into more detail but that's the main part of what Dark Samus is.

well thanks, though I didn't read the spoiler 😉

I think I'm playing the previous 2 before it, but I'm getting MP3 at same time, and playing it for a bit until the time comes (I mean after I finished MP1 and MP2)

thanks for your inputs,I appreciate it

... and now I'm off this thread

*off to play with brand new Wii*

Cool. Metroid Prime and Echoes are some of the best games on the Gamecube...heck they're some of the best games of the Last-Gen games.

Metroid Prime is THE best game of last-gen.

Metroid Prime was an excellent game but the best last-gen game is clearly Super Smash Bros Melee. Metroid Prime is clearly number 2.

I respectfully disagree. 🙂 Smash was good, but I'd put a decent amout of other games ahead of it.

My order of last gen is this:

1. Metroid Prime
2. Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (not the original Snake Eater version)
3. Resident Evil 4
4. Smash Bros. Melee

I take it we mean last-gen. This would be my top 5

1.) Super Smash Bros Melee
2.) Metroid Prime
3.) Star Fox Adventures
4.) The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
5.) Super Mario Sunshine

Meh. If Melee had been made late in the last generation (rather than early) like the first SSB did with the N64, it probably would've been tons better. Mewtwo's speed would've been much more balanced, Ganondorf would've had his sword and not been a Captain Falcon clone, etc.

So, yeah. Melee was a little too rushed for my taste, which is partially why I prefer Metroid Prime over it, but that's just me (thankfully though, Brawl's development hasn't been as rushed as Melee's, so it's bound to not have the same flaws).

Not to me. And Ganondorf never has been shown to use a sword until Wind Waker and at that time they were using the OoT Ganondorf so I strongly doubt they would have given him a sword. And Melee wasn't rushed at all. Miyamoto gave it the go ahead and he was the one who basically delays all Nintendo games if they don't meet his standards like Super Mario Sunshine, the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and even back in the day with Kirby's Dream Land.

As Miyamoto said, "a delayed game can be a good game...a bad game is just a bad game." And heck it was Miyamoto who suggested to delay Brawl another few months and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Mario Galaxy. Miyamoto knows what he is doing.

And Masahiro Sakurai (the developer of the SSB series) also knows what he is doing.

Someone's forgetting the Spaceworld 2000 video. The one that showed what the Gamecube could do, featuring Link and Ganondorf swordfighting. When people heard Ganny would be in Melee they expected that sword. And the sword was modeled, too, as is obvious by one of Ganondorf's victory poses, and I believe one of his trophies.

Melee was rushed, too, or else Snake would have been added and Lucas from Mother 3 would have replaced Ness as intended.

No, the production of the game was already too far in research and development to make the addition viable to add Snake.

And the Ganondorf that fought Link in that Gamecube showing was never in a game so of course they wouldn't give it to him in the game. Victory pose really doesn't change the game.

The victory pose shows that they made the sword, at least at one point intending to use it. The team was rushed, which is why Ganondorf lost the sword and was relegated to Captain Falcon clone.

The sword was never in OoT which is the model they used for Ganondorf. Why would they add something that hasn't even been in a game?

Oh and I love you avatar.

Game Informer's Game of the Month: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption! (Handheld Game of the Month: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass) Go Nintendo!

Retro Studio's vision for Nintendo's landmark Metroid serieshas always met wih a certain amount of criticism from fans. With awesome power-ups, harrowing boss battles, and a sprawling universe to explore, we can say that Retro Studios has done all they can to meet fan expectations. With its first title on the Wii, Retro has not only shown us how first-person should be played on the system, but it's demonstrated that the Wii doesn't have to be a graphical slouch.

Socre: 9:5

Concept:The ultimate hybrid of shooter action and adventure exploration; the Prime formula has been polished to a sheen.

Graphics: No need for Wii goggles here, Corruption's graphics are trully stellar. The shining point on an already sparkling game.

Sound: The Prime games usually have a solid, haunting score, and while Corruption's is still good, it doesn't stand out as much as previous titles.

Playablitiy: Move and look around at the same time! What a novel idea. Somehow this craziness works out all right.

Entertainment: You'll be playing through again to collect all the secrets, but you may skip the cutscenes

Replay Value: Moderately high

I have to really disagree with Game Informers dislike of the 'Sound' aspect. I think that the music in MP3 is as good if not better then in the first Prime and even approaching Super Metroid quality of music. I loved all the music in the game, specifically Sky Town. But Bryyo and Bryyo-Jungle are really awesome too and the opening title music is just pure epic.

They just said it didn't stand out as much

I just got MP3 recently and im stuck on the countdown in Norion. I get to a room where there is no door but on the map it says its above me what do i do???

Yea I think I know what your talking about. Is it a long hallway that's dark and everything is broken? You need to be specific and tell us what room your in. Go to your map and hi-light the room your in and I can tell you if you tell me the name of the room.

never mind i figured it out. Thanks anyway Anomaly

Werd, Enjoy the game, its the best I've played on any of the new systems thus far.

BUMP!
coming to Australian stores, next month!
