Did you see the Picture or the Aurora? Dosen't that look like mother brain or what?!

Yeah, I have a theory that Mother Brain was once an Aurora Unit.

Same here. It doesn't seem to be connected to the AUs in the game though (at least as far as the ones I've seen so far, as I haven't completed it yet. only gotten past Gandrayda, and then some).

Well MP3 happens after Metroid NES so the GF already knows that Mother Brain is evil so I doubt they would keep up with it. But from what I can tell I do believe Mother Brain is an Aurora Unit. They serve the same purpose basically and are both actually computers so to say.

it would be awesome to fight mother brain in 3D 😄

Mother Brain was the basis for the GF Aurora Units. The AUs are different, as can be seen by the fact the organic brain material is covered in metallic armor of sorts.

Also, no AU is good or evil. Since they are still computers (though incredibly advanced), they can be programmed to whatever the user wishes. Mother Brain was not technically evil, she was simply doing her programmed job of defending the Pirate base on Zebes.

I was playing this today when I was at work...is it just me or can the controls be very jerky? I mean, most of the time I was just fine with it, but other times I'd suddenly be spinning in circles or running into a wall and all movements would be very jerky and not at all smooth, even though I hadn't changed the way I was holding the wiimote or moved it at all.

🤨 Maybe the Wiimote needed new batteries? Throughout the entire game I had no such experiences.

I concur, whenever my wii remote's batteries have 1 bar/red left, it gets really shitty to control.

Hmm. Make sense to me.

I pretty much agree with both your points and General Kaliero's.

Aside from that though, I just got up to Omega Ridley, and dude. This boss ****ing owns. Forget Meta-Ridley. Omega is the pimp of all Metroid bosses. 😎

I love this game. Wish it recorded head shots though, i want to know how accurate i really am with the controls.

Yeah. It's pretty hard to make good head shots in this game (if any)...

Aside from that though, I'm beginning to think Admiral Dane should be in a future game. He seemed like a pretty interesting character. Who agrees?
According to the scan about him, rumor has it that Space Pirates orphaned him at an early age, an act he still seeks to avenge. I wonder what that was all about...

I just beat Norion by getting the generators online and shooting down the meteor. I thought the "Lord of the Rings" style fight with Meta Ridley was awesome!!

The controls take a little getting used to, especially moving left-to-right/right-to-left with the Wiimote, but all together they are relatively smooth and responsive.

It does record head shots actually, they are just hard to get.*SPOILERS*When you get the X-ray visor in the game combined with the Nova Beam it gives you a zoom in lock on to specific points like the head for creatures that do have weak points like the space pirates* END SPOILERS*

You'll notice that if you shoot a creature in the head it usually stuns it or knocks it over/off balance while regular shots do nothing. It also causes more damage.

Your using the 'Advanced' control setting right? Because I have no idea what your talking about, I grasped the controls within minuets. They are seamless, at least when using the 'Advanced' option.

Yeah use the Advance settings.

Well I'm stuck. I need to find 2-4 Energy Cells to power the GFS Ship so I can get that code to continue on the Leviathan thingy to go to the planet.

Scan the datascreens on the Valhalla to get the basic locations of the missing cells. They'll give you the planet to go to and the name of the room they are in.
