You waste your own money, the artists don't force you to. You have no right to steal just because you don't wanna pay. If you want it but don't want to pay, what makes you think you have the right to own it? You don't.
Secondly, CD's aren't too expensive. That's horsecrap made up by people who are too cowardly to admit that they like stealing and don't want to pay for the music. Also, if you don't have the cash or desire to lay out said cash, again you don't have the right to own it. If a jacket is too expensive but you want it, what do you do? Steal it? No, you buy a cheaper jacket or the same jacket for cheaper in a different store.
CD's are as "expensive" as they are because downloading is at its peak. If downloading didn't exist, sales wouldn't matter as much and CD's wouldn't be so "highly" priced.
