AC do you buy used CDs?

Depends what condition they're in and if they work.

I just checked Amazon.Com (I use .Co.Uk) and they have new albums for $13-14 direct from Amazon OR around $9 at club price or marketplace.

"Too expensive", then I can assume you all live in poverty.

xD. Not that I was making fun of your post Makedde. I agree with you whole heartidly.

Thank you.

I imagine AC is one of those rich types who can afford anything. Come over to Australia, AC, and see how expensive things are. I shouldn't have to miss out on my favourite music just because some greedy record company slaps a $30 price tag on a CD with only 10 songs.

That's about $22 USD....which while is pricey for a CD, isn't TOO terribly bad.

Look online, guaranteed you'll find it cheaper than in a store. I'm searching CDs right now on amazon.com and they're about $2-5 cheaper than in the store.

It has nothing to do with rich, and no I'm not. I can afford CD's because they're not expensive if you know where to look, like...the net. You just want them for free, and that's bullshit.

$30 for 10 songs and you think YOU are getting ripped off? They are getting ripped off if you get those 10 for free by downloading and they get nothing.

Anyone who downloads also has no right to complain about "bad" music, because you aren't putting your money where your mouth is.

You can get CD's for half that, or less, brand new on the net.

Sometimes though, afterwards they're around the same price when you include shipping 'nd stuff. Not that I was wanting to start an argument, I was just sayin'.. >>'

I'm aware of that 😛

On amazon, if your order is $30 or more...free shipping. Whenever I buy stuff there I combine my orders so I can get the free shipping 😛

You lay out, on Amazon, a MAXIMUM of say $16 dollars per CD (at a stretch, including posting and that's assuming you don't use marketplace, which is cheaper) and you get the actual cd, brand new with artwork and everything. Buying CDs is easier and cheaper than it's been for ages.

Plus, Amazon.Com has a club price that you can sign up to and get a lot of CDs prior to delivery price, for $10.

Basically what I was saying earlier is that Downloading has actually led me to buy more music, since it has opened me up to new bands.

And yes buying CDs is amazingly simple the only complaint is the price.

Yay for free shipping. 😄

Yes but the negatives far outweigh the positives I'm afraid.

That's how you know this all boils down to people being lazy bastards who want everything for free. "Don't wanna pay a lot at stores." "Use the net." "Not safe."

The more accessible and readily available for purchase that music becomes, the more excuses people come up with.

And soon the Movie industry will join music industry in its downfall....So what are the authoroties going to do about it ? Sit back and let it happen ?

If I download a handful of songs, decide I like them, and go buy the CD, how do the negatives outweigh the positives there?

Most people don't do that.

Precisely. Morally, I don't agree with downloading at all, but my morals are my own. My main concern is that the CD gets bought at the end of the day.

What can they do? It's such a wide-spread problem that the best solution is taking responsibility and buying more music. If you want an album, buy it. If you want a single, iTunes. It's got to the point where DOWNLOADING is becoming the one that's not necessary.

If that's what you do than I doubt anyone would have a problem with it.
