In all honesty and fairness, I'm assuming. However, I'm not making shots in the dark; I'm making a purely logical assumption. You could say I'm using deductive reasoning. I've known many gangbangers in my day (I used to be one myself), and I can honestly tell you that a sudden change in lifestyle doesn't automatically make a G change.
