Star Wars Television Show- Official Thread

Hmmm.. kinda cool

Yeah, I thought so.

It is confirmed now as being from the new show, it's on the stawars.com official site.

It's gonna have Yoda, clones, Obi, anakin, maybe more battles with Grevious or Dooku so should be good.

Maybe they can work on establishing that Obi-wan and Anakin are "good friends" during all the time that they fight together. 😛

Here's that image from the OS:

and interestingly enough, they've cut off this part:

Looks like the show may be about Bobba after all. (or at least in part.)

I'm getting excited again. 😱

New video game and probably a DVD ultimate box set this year, 3D series next year, and live action in 2009.

Starwars is forever!

I hope it's not about Boba....

No, I don't think it'll be the Bobba Fett Adventures, but he may be in it a little. Maybe to get the ball rolling and introduce us to some Imperial officers and pilots, some pre-Rebel people,... who knows.

I know that Ian, Ewan, and Hayden have expressed some interest at possible cameos.

Whether or not the show will COMPLETELY ignore the movies characters remains to be seen. I'm not sure that people would watch it if they don't make guest apperances now and then.

Well why would Hayden be in it? He's Vader now. Anybody can put on the body suit and all they need is a voice-over that sounds like James Earl Jones. Flashbacks maybe. But nothing too involved.

Well, for the oft-rumored or dreamed up scene where Vader is in the meditation chamber with his mask off thinking of Padme.

Who knows?

What do you think of the CG yoda?

Well I've always like the puppet Yoda of I, V, and VI over the CGI Yoda of II and III. I understand that there would need to be some sort of CGI for Yoda in scenes when he's fighting or something. But the CGI Yoda just seems to be lacking something the puppet Yoda had.

Yeah, Frank Oz.

When is the series supposed to be situated, timewise?

CG 3D one is the three year period of the Clone Wars between EP II and EP III. My guess would be after the first season of the Clone wars cartoons, but before the second. (seeing as how the second one leads right into ROTS, but this is just my guess.)

The live-action one is more vauge, saying only "between EPIII and EP IV" which is a 19 year span. Could be some right after ROTS stuff, or more in the middle building of the Rebellion stuff, .... who knows?

I'm definately pscyched for the CG show, though. I loved the Clone Wars cartoons, and a show with all of our Jedi heroes from the PT fighting battles against the droids, Dooku, and Grevious will be great.

The CG show is good for me too... But I dread the live action series. Will it be like Highlander and the new Battlestar Galatica? I hope NOT!

You don't like the new BG?

Heresy!

Just wanted to keep this on the next page. 😛

I'm not sure how many have seen this yet.

I imagine as we get closer to official announcements that peeps will start getting excited again. 🙂

here we go again

i thought the disapointments of much of the PT would have killed it but the pre build up excitement has started again and its all because of the Boba pic

For BG it's great... but for SW???

I think the live-action series would be good if they found the middle ground between brand new scenarios and looking in on recognizable characters.

For example: It'd be cool to see the transition of the Clone troopers to the Stormtroopers. How they go from the template of Jango Fett to using more than one template and even bringing in recruits.

It'd be bad ass to see the development of the relationship between Luke and Obi-Wan. Maybe see how Obi-Wan became Old Ben. See the hardships of working on a vaporator farm, see Luke just watch all his friends go off to the academy, maybe even see little signs of Luke's power in the Force, like him making a item that's out of reach come closer without noticing (like John Travolta did in Phenomenon).

Watch Leia grow into the revolutionary she becomes.

See Vader and the Emperor hunt the remaining Jedi. Maybe using Bobba Fett sometimes, since he obviously hates Jedi, being as how they killed his father. Using some dark Force adepts as assassins.

This could be an amazing series if done right.

No it wouldn't.

I think (and hope) they stay away from the main characters of the movies.

Yea, it would be better, if they don't focus on the main characters, but on characters with a smaller part, like Shak Ti and invent some new ones.

Logan is always coming out with this kind of stuff so its to be taken with a pinch

I hope so. And what's the deal with mayhew? Has he been out of a job since 1983?
