My guess will be either it's on FOX network, or available as a digital download.

I heard that Disney is looking to procure the rights since they are closely associated with Lucasfilm at the Disney theme parks.

This also means the shows could end up on ABC since Disney and ABC are owned by the same company.

As long as tehy don't get a say in the content.

Star Wars creator George Lucas is struggling to find a home for his spin-off animated series Clone Wars.

The movie mogul admits he's struggling to get a network to pick up the 100-episode series. He has already created 40 episodes.

He tells TV Guide magazine, "People are talking about it, but so far everybody's got the same conundrum: How do we programme it? It doesn't fall into the realm of what animation typically is, which is either adult, kind of off-colour humour or kiddie stuff.

"It has to go on after nine o'clock, and it can't be on a kiddie channel

Hyperspace $$$$$?

What's wrong with doing it on the Sci-Fi Channel?

Nah, it should be on a free network channel.

Or just release them on DVD.

That would be awesome, actually. Whole seasons just come out at once to purchase. 🙂

Fox Sunday lineup...after all the humor animation. After those the channel has nothing on anyways.

Sounds good to me.

It's ironic for Lucas though, saying that his future lies in television...

Heck Yes!

That would be awesome.

Then Family Guy can turn around and lampoon the show right after it's been on the week before, and when it's done you can watch this weeks new SW episode! 😱

Indeed, although some of the things he said he wanted to do after ROTS really didnt interest me much. Movie-wise I mean. 😐

As much as I'd love to see a movie, TV will offer a much longer run of course. Like GL said, instead of doing another 2 hour movie, he can do several 1 hour movies.

If he gets a broadcaster....

He will.

It's SW. The last film released 2 years ago ended up in the top 10 of all time.

As long as the clone wars show does well, not much will stop the live-action show from finding a network home.

Oh I'm sure about the live action show. That'll do fine. There are slots for that. For the animation series finding a slot is trickier. In TV they like things in neat little slots and have no imagination for anything that falls outside of these slots.

Im guessing that it will air on FOX.

Why?

Star Wars is a Fox/Lucasfilm production yes? It would make sense to keep some of the same partners especially with advertising and marketability. Plus I think it would fit with Fox better than, say, ABC.

Star Wars MOVIES are Fox/Lucasfilm. Fox has distribution rights for the movies, the rest belongs to Lucasfilm.

Check AICN for a bit of TV show news regarding Bib,Podracers etc

I must point out i was being sarcastic in the tv show post on the OT forum.
I was just surprised at the big media announcement when weve all known for a couple of years about the tv show.

Anyone see Peter Seranafowich's - the voice of Maul - tv show last night ?
He did an excellent Vader spoof.
Im sure itll be on Youtube soon enough.
