depends on what he brings to the table...i think he can out-power anyone in his weight class but from his last 2 showings he's getting tagged too easy

If Zab Judah where to go down in weight he would DESTROY Ricky. Too bad Zab has idiots as his advisors.

Thats for sure. Id pay to see that.

I think the Paulie/Hatton fight is gonna be awful. hatton is gonna get tired and Paulie is gonna break his hand, again.

i have to give Zab one thing...he was involved in the single most comical incident in boxing...the Kosta Tszyu fight

he must be the only man ever to have been knocked down twice with one punch...

but to your point...Hatton beat Tszyu...Tszyu beat Judah...hmmm?

i see your point jaden but boxing aint as simple as that. i remember ali ripping parkinson in that famous interview when parkie said something similar.

not taking anything away from Judah...i think he's a very good fighter...he's one of the few who put in a very good showing against Mayweather and done him some damage and caused alot of problems....

he's had to steady himself in his last 2 fights thought because he got a whupping in 3 fights in a row...so i dont know how solid his resolve is anymore

destroy? sounds a little to intense. i'd say pick him apart brutally rather than destroy.

I say destroy because Zab has incredible power at 140. He would catch Ricky jumping in (like he is known to do) with a counter upercut or straight left and Hattons night would be over. The fight wouldn't go past four rounds IMO.

ABC logic doesn't work here as Tszyu is a very different fighter than Ricky. Tszyu is a more patient boxer puncher so he was able to time Zab with his right hand. Zab wouldn't have that problem at all with Ricky who is a pure brawler. Ricky would go down hard if they where to fight.

yeah Hatton is getting caught going in and out....definitely something he needs to work on...he didn't look pretty after the fight against Lazcano....but if he catches someone with a sweet left body...anyone in that division is going to feel it

Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced his retirement today stating he has lost his passion to fight. I guess that rules out the DeLaHoya rematch and the fight with Cotto. Damn.

Best thing he couldve done if he wanted to stay undefeated. While I think he wouldve won the rematch with DLH, there was a chance he would lose. If fighting DLH is not enough, he would have to hace Cotto or Margarito down the road and Im not sure he could beat either one.

Agreed. I don't think DLH would have been too much tougher than the first time, but Margarito would have given him a good fight and Cotto was a VERY serious threat to him.

very smart move, but i would have wanted to see him face Cotto.

Pavlik v. Lockett is tomorrow. I'm excited because Kelly's my boy. But it's not really supposed to be much of a fight. With luck, it won't be and Pavlik will act like the heavy favorite that he is.

There's some undercard that's supposed to be sick though. But I forget who it is.

i got Pavlik winning but i'm not looking forward to it. I didn't even know the fight is tomorrow.

i might watch UFC 85, but wasn't looking forward to that either.

do you know the undercard for the pavlik/locket event?

Tomorrows Vernon Forrest vs Sergio Mora(from The Contender). While I dont like neither, I wanna see Forrest knock Mora the f**k out!

Undercard:

DANIEL PONCE DE LEON VS. JUAN MANUEL LOPEZ

...think it's a featherweight bout. Supposed to be excellent.

Also, Pavlik's first fight with Taylor when he won the title was named Fight of the Year by the Boxing Writers Association. I thought that was pretty cool.

Oh shit, Mora beat Vernon Forrest by decision and took the title! Talk about an upset.
