i dont think it'll be different either...i personally think De la Hoya is way overrated...you only need to look at his record and anyone of any calibre he's been up against, he's been beaten....
not true at all
DLH holds wins over
Vargas
Trinidad (I count it as a W and so do most experts)
Whitiker
Chavez 2X
Ruelas (Who was undefeated at the time and was the favorite)
Quartey (Another guy that was a beast in the 90's)
Gotti (Who was also undefeated and a beast at the time)

Do you see DLH winning the rematch?
I always had a problem w/De La Hoya because of how favored he was. I remember back in '97 when he fought first Miguel Angel Gonzalez then Pernell Whitaker a few months later. He won both fights by decision. In the first fight, the reasoning for him winning was because even though Gonzalez hit DLH with bigger shots (and DLH looked more beat up), Oscar hit Gonzalez with more overall punches and scored more points. In the Whitaker fight, the exact opposite reasoning was used. Oscar won because he landed more power shots, even though Whitaker landed more overall punches.

i never saw the trinidad fight but it was 115-113 each judge or something like that wasn't it?
he lost to mosley twice and mosley is sketchy at times to say the least
chavez was about 36 when he lost...pushing on in years...
Gotti?...you mean Arturo Gatti?...he'd lost 4 times before fighting De la Hoya
that's why i think...relative to his attraction for money...i believe he gets too much hype...for me, he's on a par with the likes of Zab Judah...very good...but not great...

No, I'm not saying that at all. But he is definitely not overated. I don't want to see this fight but DLH is where the money is at.
I was just asking. I agree about the money part which is why I think DLH could win in a controversial decision just to have a 3rd fight. After all, Floyd seems to cares more about money these days than the actual fights.
