I think the accusations of him ducking Pacquiao are what will make the fight happen. I think he's more than good enough to beat Pacquiao and if he does, he'll be richer and more acclaimed than anyone else.

I just think there's way too much at stake for Mayweather not to fight.

Then again, he risks losing the zero.

i honestly hope so, the ball is now in PBF's court so to speak...

if this fight happens, no matter who comes out on top, it is still a win-win for us fans...

and of course Bob Arum...

WE Pacquiao won. (so I heard)

Currently watching. Ouch, that has got to hurt.

Just finished.

nuther win! woohoo!

Pacquiao pummeled Cotto into a bloody pulp! (as expected)
Phew! And I thought I was going to lose my bet 😛

Pacquiao was simply too fast, too agile, too powerful for Cotto.
It's kind of ironic since Cotto was a natural welterweight..

Pacquiao was simply unfazed by Cotto's deadly combo uppercut from Rd 3.
He scored huge points with a couple of knockdowns from Rd 3 & 4.

I hate the way Cotto just gave up on Rd 9-12!! 😠
I mean, c'mon man! Stop dancing around and fight back! Don't be such a coward! Take the shots... Cotto is young, he should've been able to handle them.

Pretty obvious he would win really.

I don't think it'll be either of their next respective fights. Mayweather will need one more fight to make sure there's no ring rust after 18 months out the ring. Pacquiao will take on and take out another of the fighters that Mayweather hasn't fought. Margarito or Mosley, most likely.

It'll get to the point where there simply can't be any excuse for them not to fight...Reasonable excuse or unreasonable.

If money does end up being the reason the fight doesn't go ahead then it may well be one of the final nails in the coffin of boxing. People are turning away from the sport in droves and for the fans and the sport to get dismissed for the sake of business will further destroy the reputation of the sport.

well, i wouldn't say he was being a coward. standing in front of a fighter whose punches you just don't see coming is just stupid. Cotto didn't give up. he kept trying till the end...and props for his courage. anyone watching the fight knew that most fighters would've just given up on the stool around round8. but cotto kept coming back for more.
De La Hoya took half the punishment Cotto did but still gave up. Cotto didn't. not till the end.

its kind of unfortunate really. you could tell that the moment he stepped in for roudn12, he did it to see the fight through for as long as he could. he knew he had lost the fight 3 rounds earlier. but he wanted to finish the fight.

RESPECT Miguel Cotto!

now lets sit back and watch Pacman shove his fist down Mayweather's face!

Just watched the replay.

Gotta love Manny for his game plan: testing if he could absorb Cotto's best punches... and he did.

Manny is a sure fire LEGEND in boxing...
The best LINEAR CHAMPION of all time!
7 titles in 7 different weight divisions!

Are you crazy? Its was pretty clear by the ninth round cotto's legs were threw. Hes was running because he was trying to get his legs straight but everytime he tried he would get clocked. Hearns used to do the same thing when he was on shaky legs. Cotto may be many things but a cowards not one of them.

i agree...

but honestly, it will come down to money, as Mayweather will of course play the undefeated card to the hilt, and Manny is well, undefeated or not, the number one draw and number one fighter...

who deserves more?...

Pacquaoi vs Mayweather has to happen now-if Floyd says no, it means he is bottling it -BIG TIME!!

He'll also blame it on Bob Arum. According to Mayweather, it's always the other promoter that's preventing the fight.

You know what would make me completely turn my back on floyd as a fan? If he issued a challenge to cotto now feeling like hes lost his steam. Whats bad is that sounds exactly like something he would do.

* you put so much faith in Mayweather, bro... he's a good fighter, but currently, Pacquiao is now better... my analysis, their common opponents, Dela Hoya and Hatton - Manny and Floyd beat them both but Manny beat them in shorter period of time than Floyd... if ever, Pacquiao-Mayweather materializes, my money's on Pacman...

* the latter... Floyd's actually living it out now, he's afraid of Pacman in my opinion...

* btw, "Manny and Floyd" sounds like a comedy sitcom... 😂

Floyd only takes fights he knows he can win, he won´t fight Pacquaoi.

Like what he did with Zab Judah...And nearly lost that fight too...Zab wad robbed in that one.

Mayweather talks about a possible Pacman fight.

"Reacting to the proposition the undefeated 32-year-old, who formerly held the WBC title at welterweight, told British broadcaster Sky Sports: "If he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather all he has to do is step up to the plate."".

Possible, but highly unlikely..
But then again, who knows?

He will be the best opponent Manny will ever face..
PBF's natural evasiveness and defensiveness will be a deciding factor for the match..
Though power, speed, agility, stamina, and most importantly HEART, favors Pacquiao.

Manny VS Mayweather : Glory VS Money

i lol'ed, but he's right though...

i want to hear what Floyd Sr. has got to say though, nobody really cares about his opinion but they are very entertaining nonetheless...

if this dream match comes to fruition, i would rank this one in terms of anticipation right up there with the De La Hoya vs Trinidad match...

I'll believe it when I see it. I'll be cheering for Pacman on this one. If Floyd wins we'll never hear the end of it.
