It's on.

Miguel Cotto announced plans of retiring on this next birthday 🙁

Ever since I saw that latest interview with Mayweather, I have a new-found respect for him.

He truly is a way more savvy, smart, intelligent man than I gave him credit for. Really smart.

Martinez should have edged that fight with Williams. This guy can't catch a break.

Was not expecting RJJ to lose in the first round.

It looked like it was below-the-belt, in the thigh area, causing a Charlie Horse

Yeah, 2 more fights. It's bittersweet. I'm sad to see him go but win or lose he has fought the best. Never dodge anybody. Hopefully another Puerto Rican can fill the void.

He needs to retire. He looks good for his age but his reflexes are not what they used to be.

yeah it is bittersweet. he's the kind of boxers the sport could really use right now: professional, courageous, multi-dimensional and exciting to watch. come 2010 with cotto retiring and manny/mayweather finally taking place i doubt i'll continue watching boxing. Cotto's the only career i've followed for the last couple of years and I liked him because he had a lot of the "old school" in him: brave, grew with each fight and never ducked anyone.

too bad, there's no immediate puerto rican who can fill the gap right now.

Anyone see the latest Klitchko joke. Why the hell did Kevin Johnson even turn up for the fight if all he was going to do is hang on the ropes and do an impression of a punch bag.

I´m also convinced it was fixed, the way Klitchko pulled some of his punches just didn´t look real. What a joke the heavyweight division has become.

I agree... about the division becoming a bit of a joke... I've not seen a decent fight in ages... Here's hoping a Haye/Klitchko bout may be entertaining.

“I maintain and assure everyone that I have not used any form or kind of steroids and that my way to the top is a result of hard work, hard work, hard work and a lot of blood spilled from my past battles in the ring, not outside of it,” Pacquiao said in his statement.
“I have no idea what steroids look like and my fear in God has kept me safe and victorious through all these years.

“Now, I say to Floyd Mayweather Jr., don’t be a coward and face me in the ring, mano-a-mano and shut your big, pretty mouth, so we can show the world who is the true king of the ring.”

IDK what to make of all that situation. On the one hand Manny seems like a straight up guy and I dont see him cheating his way to the top. Plus he's been tested before. On the other hand, this is a huge fight for Floyd and see why he would want a more thorough test. If Manny got nothing to hide, why make such a deal about it?

The problem is Mayweather's camp wants him to undergo an Olympic-style drug testing..
That's like taking blood samples everyday to see if drugs were used during the training regimen.

This poses a problem for Manny, since he believes that numerous blood tests makes him weaker.

Besides, Manny has undergone various drug tests lately.. all which have proven that he was clean as a whistle.

Manny's camp has given the proposition to Mayweather's camp that a drug test be held AFTER their match, if it ever materializes.

* another Mayweather tactic... that arrogant dude needs to be taught a lesson, by Manny's fists... 😉

That's the problem, both guys will take the test why make a huge deal out of it?

Part of me hopes it's just a promotional tactic, this fight is too big to jeopardize over a few random blood tests.

Damn, according to this article, Pacman's people were looking at the possible penalties if his testing result came back as dirty.

* those are just gossips, according to the article itself...

Well it looks like the Floyd/Manny fight fell through. Now Manny will fight Clottey in March. Looks like Floyd will probably fight a scrub his next fight since practically everyones busy.

floyd never wanted to fight manny. i dunno why, floyd's favored to win the fight.. actually, i do know why.. manny is a legitimate threat to his zero-loss record..

* Floyd is clearly afraid of Manny... that's the reason why they made a big deal about those drug tests...
