Yep. Floyd has finally decided to hang his gloves. TMT has finally disbanded.
19 years worth of unparalleled performances... No one in his weight class has ever been able to match his quickness and speed, nor penetrate his superior defensive stance.
He will always be remembered as one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, boxers of this era. He has beaten his greatest rival, Manny Pacquiao, in astounding fashion. In my view, this further cements his legacy as the 2nd best ever boxer to ever grace a boxing ring.

A lot of people don't believe he'll stay retired. Either way, with the recent scandal out about the IVs he took, his legacy is tainted.
"TAINTED"
You are clearly biased against Floyd.
Any suggestion that the "IV's" are going to diminish a legendary hall of fame career is asinine. He fought EVERY fighter that he had to fight. He DEFEATED all of them. He beat Pacqaio like he was a sparring partner
Who did Floyd fail to fight?
Which of his peers are anywhere close to his level of greatness?
You're clearly biased for Floyd.

No, it really isn't. A scandal like this puts a huge question on a person's entire career, no matter what their accomplishments are. If this stuff is true, then it's definitely no "hall of fame" career, that's for sure.

By getting outlanded AND wobbled twice? Let's not even go there. Floyd got a gift decision, just like in the first Castillo fight.

Timothy Bradley. Keith Thurman. Shawn Porter. Amir Khan. Erislandy Lara.

It's hard to tell how great Floyd is if he's been cheating behind the scenes, especially compared to Pacquiao (who was also fighting at a disadvantage).

1. Scandal- Your characterizing it n this manner proves my point. There has been absolutely NO element of scandal attached to this whatsoever. You have the 24/7 sports coverage of both ESPN and FOX and there has been no trace of controversy subsequent to the revelation.
2. Punishing Pacqaio- Show me 5 notable boxing experts and/or boxers who contend that Pacqaio won that fight.
3. You can't be serious- Did you really mean to post the following fighters? Timothy Bradley. Keith Thurman. Shawn Porter. Amir Khan. Erislandy Lara.
What have ANY of these fighters accomplished to put them in the same universe as Floyd?
Originally posted by LordofBrooklynThe point is, he still had illegal IV's on his side, and Pacquiao had an injury during the fight.

I didn't hear about this IV thing until recently.
Come to think of it, that would really put a question mark on his fight with Pacquiao. His camp said it was only vitamins, but no one can really be sure if there were PEDs in there as well. And Pac was in an obvious disadvantage, fighting with only one healthy arm.
Either way, the final results were in favor of Mayweather. All of the boxing experts did not dispute the win.
If he ever comes back from retirement, he should fight a healthy Pacquiao to lay his claim as TBE once and for all.

1. It's obvious you don't keep up with what's going on. There's been a controversy about him possibly using PEDs before the Pacquiao. This news broke out just last week.
2. I don't need 5 boxing experts to see that. There's some videos showing who landed the most shots and it was Pacquiao.
3....That's a pretty pointless question. A boxer's "accomplishments" doesn't always relate to what kind of fighter they are. After all, look at Danny Garcia.
It is worth pointing out that Bradley is one of the best welterweights out there. He even beat Marquez decisively.
Let's just say that they're all better choices than Andre Berto.

Rios already had his shot a Pacquiao anyway. I don't think people were interested in seeing a rematch seeing how one-sided the first match was.
Bradley put up a great performance. Best I've seen him so far. Stopping Rios like that is quite impressive.
Also, has anybody seen this?
