He didnt even stab the guy at the end, instead he shot him, changing that changes the whole tone of the piece, stabbing someone is a way more visceral and (I have read) personal and difficult method of murdering someone, shooting the mutant removed this, and a big part of the story arc is the change in the family, (and Doug in particular), changing ( mutating, if you will🙂)and becoming savages themselves, so I feel this undermined the impact of the moral commentary.

I saw this movie skeptical, mainly becuz of all the piece of crap remakes as of lately (When a stranger calls, the fog, nuff said) but upon leaving the theater after the credits rolled I was very much pleased with this remake and of the work of High Tension's director.....never had i felt more rooting for the good guys since i watched Last House on the Left....which also was a work of Craven.....so all in all this movie was a satisfaction and i'm gonna go so far as to say it belongs in the category of remakes better than the original along with The Thing and The Fly.

I wanted to see it from the beginning, when I saw the trailers, but some of the reviews on here are making me REALLY anxious to see it. 🙂

I saw The Hills Have Eyes last night with Daniel. It was really good. It started out slow, and at first I thought it was going to be the same old horror flick remade into something even shittier but it wasn't, it was pretty excellent.

Spoiler:
It was very couragious of the girl in the red hood to save Catherine (the baby), I never expected that.
The mannequin town was just fuzzled up though.

i met dee wallace stone today..she was in the original hills have eyes. she is really cool.

Great gore; more than I expected.

Little Red Riding Hood should have drop kicked him. Not tackle him.. Anyway it was courageous but that was no way for her to live as some retarded person. She would never be looked on as normal. Anyway I saw that coming ever since DUMBASS DOUG dropped his gun..

her picture was on a newspaper article tacked to a bulletin board in the gas station. For all we know, she may have been kidnapped. And those imbreeds probably did a good job of keeping her back until she finally saw a good chance, when 3/4 of them were dead, to take Catherine and run for the hills.

she didnt have to be one of them from the beginning. If she was there and the gov. tested more bombs, the radiation would have effected her as well.

But it was that little town of miners that got infected. She was there, or the messed up mom gave birth to the messed up child one. And none of them were really messed up from the beginning, the bombs messed them up.

I guess to add more emotional feelings to the film. She is the only mutant freak that displays human feelings.

mick foley was there too. plus the woman who plays the demon face in the exorcist(the one that keeps subliminally turning up) was there. LOL. how can you make a career out of that? the incredible hulk was there. plus the mom off house of a 1000 corpses. and more i cant remember
